Personalisation aims to put everyone on an equal footing:“...citizens with rights to a range of opportunities, in particular the right to exercise choice and control over their lives, including what support and care they access and how it is organised.”

(John Alexander, Director of Social Work, Dumfries and Galloway Council)

‘enabling the individual alone, or in groups, to find the right solutions for them and to participate in the delivery of a service. From being a recipient of services, citizens can become actively involved in selecting and shaping the services they receive’.

(Changing Lives Service Development Group)
