Peugeot BlueHDi : Pioneering on MPG and CO2

BlueHDi is the name given to Peugeot’s latest generation of diesel engines. The result of a world-famous diesel heritage plus innovation and engineering excellence developed on the race track of Le Mans, BlueHDi complies with Euro 6 emission standards, to deliver exceptional fuel economy and CO2 emissions alongside a driving experience rich in power and performance. A three stage cleansing process specifically targets the pollutants of diesel combustion, removing hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide, reducing nitrogen oxides by up to 90% and eliminating 99.9%ii of particulates. And the consumption is very low,” agreed L’Automobile Magazine’s Christophe Congrega.

INTELLIGENT STORAGE SOLUTIONS - PEUGEOT 3008

Underfloor Storage: Part of the family pack, underfloor storage hidden under the rear mats provides a safe place to store valuable items. Each of the two underfloor storage compartments located in the outer rear footwells can accommodate two 500ml bottles. (Standard across the Peugeot 3008 range).

Three Position Boot Floor: This clever storage solution, standard across the Peugeot 3008 range, allows you to adapt the loadspace to your needs through three pre set configurations.1. In its lowest position this provides access to the largest area of bootspace available, up to 512 litres from bootfloor to the parcel shelf.2. In its first raised position this brings the bootfloor flush with the split tailgate and seatbacks, when lowered. This position aids with loading larger items and can support a weight of up to 100kg. Smaller items can also be stored out of harms way under the bootfloor.3. In its second raised position this brings the bootfloor to just below the lower half of the tailgate. This position allows for the segregation of items, larger items can be stored under the bootfloor for greater security, up to 50kg in weight can be stored on the raised floor.

Split Opening Tailgate: This ingenious solution allows for easy access to the rear of Peugeot 3008. Rather than lifting a large tailgate the boot area can be accessed by simply opening the lightweight rear window section of the tailgate, for further access the bottom half of the tailgate can be lowered. The lower section of the tailgate can support a distributed 200kg weight and serves as a useful bench area for a family picnic.(Standard across the Peugeot 3008 range).

Front Centre Storage Console: This large storage area measuring 13.5 litres in total is deep enough to accommodate a 1.5 litre bottle in an upright position. The area also features ventilation to keep items cool aswell as a USB to allow for MP3 connection.(Standard across the Peugeot 3008 range).

Split Folding Rear Seats: At the single pull of a handle (located in the boot) the rear seats fold to give a flat load area for easy loading. (Boot floor must be in position 2). With the rear seats folded the storage volume grows to 1604 litres.(Standard across the Peugeot 3008 range).Flat Folding Front Passenger Seat: At the single pull of a handle (located at the seat base) the front passenger seat folds completely flat, this increases the loading length to 2.62m, perfect for transporting lengthy items like a Christmas tree. When folded flat the front passenger seat back also serves as a useful picnic table.(Standard on Allure models).

KEY FEATURES - PEUGEOT 3008

Peugeot Connect Navigation: Linked to the 7.0” colour screen, the system includes European mapping and comes with 5 years of free software updates. The system also includes vocal guidance, full postcode lookup and various route planning options. (Standard on Allure models)

Colour Reversing Camera: A camera located on the rear of the vehicle is linked to the 7.0” colour screen. The system increases visibility and driver confidence when reversing, the camera also features guidance lines to aid with parking. (Standard on Allure models)

Peugeot Connect SOS & Assistance: A vehicle locating communication unit, this feature can be used manually (dedicated SOS button on the dashboard) or automatically (if pyrotechnic devices are deployed). It locates the vehicle precisely and triggers the sending of the appropriate emergency services for a rapid response. Peugeot are the pioneers of this technology, since launching in 2003 Peugeot Connect SOS & Assistance has come to the aid of over 7,000 individuals.(Optional on Allure models).

Panoramic Cielo Glass Roof: Every journey is a unique experience when you have a panoramic view of the colours and landscapes outside. Designed to increase serenity and wellbeing of those onboard, this large fixed panel glass roof bathes the cabin in natural light. An electric roller blind is also included, this blind is able to filter out all exterior light.(Optional on Active, standard on Allure models)

Colour Head Up Display: A driver information interface that displays key driving information via a clear retractable screen in the drivers line of sight. The screen can be adjusted for both angle and brightness, aswell as folded away completely at any point during a journey. The system displays information relating to speed, cruise control speed settings and navigation directions (where applicable).(Standard on Allure models)

Parking Space Measurement System: Working in conjunction with the front and rear parking aid, this system measures whether a space will suitably accommodate Peugeot 3008 in a parallel parking scenario. While driving past a space (at speeds of up to 12mph) the car will accurately measure and inform the driver if parking is 'possible', 'difficult' or 'not advised'. (Standard on Allure models)

Isofix: Peugeot 3008 features two Isofix mounting points located on the outer rear seats allowing for the fitment of two child seats. Top tethering points are located on the rear seat backs. (Standard across the Peugeot 3008 range)

Airbags: Peugeot 3008 offers optimum protection for you and your family. All models features 6 airbags as standard. Airbag protection comprises:Driver & front passenger airbags: providing frontal protection for front seat occupants. Front passenger airbag can be deactivated to allow for the fitment of a child seat.Front side airbags: located in the seat frame on the outside edge of the front seats; they inflate between front seat occupants and the front doors, providing thorax protection in a side impact.Curtain airbags: located on either side of 3008, these deploy in a side impact and provide head protection for both front and rear occupants in a side impact.

Grip Control®: A system designed to optimise traction in low-grip conditions. It adapts to the terrain by acting on the front wheels, using the electronic components already present on the vehicle. The driver remains in control and can decide at any time to move from Standard mode using the dial located on the centre console, choosing instead Snow, Off-Road, Sand or ESP Off. DAB Radio: With less interference than AM and FM channels, DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting) radio is the best way of listening to UK national and regional radio . The DAB radio option brings superior radio sound quality to Peugeot 3008.

Distance Alert: a driver alert system to inform on the distance between 3008 and traffic in front. Linked to the standard head up display on Allure models, the driver can set a desired following distance of between one and two seconds. Distance Alert is operated via a radar mounted in the front bumper of 3008. In the event of getting too close to the car in front you are alerted visually via the head up display, allowing action to be taken.
