Kunststein Als Kunststein bezeichnet man mineralisch gebundene (Zement und Baukalk) Werkstoffe, die mit Zuschlägen von beispielsweise Mineralien, gebrochenen Gesteinen oder Bruchglas hergestellt werden. Eine spezielle Art bildet dabei das Feinsteinzeug. Dieses besteht aus reinen Mineralstoffen und wird ohne Bindemittel unter sehr hoher Hitze gebrannt. Die sehr dichte Oberfläche (vergleichbar mit Glas) hat eine extrem hohe Kratz- und Hitzebeständigkeit. Zudem ist sie sehr pflegefreundlich.
