TIGI’s Curl Amplifier Natural curls sometimes need a boost to become beautiful, defined waves or ringlets. The common solution is to grab some gel and scrunch it in. Medium curls benefit most from the Curl Amplifier, a creamy type product applied to wet hair. Once strands are dry, shiny, soft, and defined curls result.

STEP 1 : First, squeeze a quarter sized daub of product into wet hands. When using a professional shampoo, less product is required because it is so concentrated. It doesn’t matter if your hair is long or short, this small amount will be enough. When shampooing long hair, focus mainly on the scalp, which is where oil becomes a problem. The middle and ends of long locks tend to get dry if they get shampooed equally to the scalp, partly be-cause there is no oil being produced there and also because this is where the majority of heat styling and overall damage is focused.

Step 2 : Rub the shampoo between your hands. Professional grade shampoos are far more concen-trated than what you’re used to buying, that is why less is needed and they are more expensive. When you rub the product between your wet hands, it helps to break down the compounds of your shampoo to prepare it for use. You’re essentially stretching it out. This also makes

it nice and sudsy to help spread it throughout the hair. Notice the difference between the professional product and bargain brand yet? If not, you will see the difference in your hair after the first few uses.

Step 3 : Give yourself a nice scalp massage. Rub the shampoo thoroughly through the hair. Unless you shampoo more often than necessary, the familiar frothy foam will not result from the first shampoo. Rinse, and repeat steps 1 and 2. The second time through, it will feel like normal, bubbles and all.

Conditioning : Let conditioner sit for as long as possible, rinse with cool water to lock it in. If your hair needs help in multiple ways, try picking a shampoo to target one problem and a conditioner to target another.
