Laureata nel 1954 al Politecnico di Milano,dal 1955 al 1965 è nella redazionedi Casabella-Continuità diretta da Ernesto Rogerse dal 1974 al 1979 nel Comitato Direttivo di “Lotus International”. Dopo la realizzazione a Parigi del Museé d’Orsay (1980-86) e del nuovo allestimento del Musée National d’Art Moderne al Centre Pompidou(1982-85), ha curato la ristrutturazionedi Palazzo Grassi a Venezia (1985-86).A partire dagli anni ’90 ha progettato il nuovo accesso alla stazione S. Maria Novella a Firenze (1990), il Padiglione Italiano all’EXPO ‘92 di Siviglia,la nuova Galleria per Esposizioni Temporanee alla Triennale di Milano (1994), l’allestimento del nuovo percorso di visita del Castello Estense a Ferrara (2004) e della mostra “Arti & Architettura 1900-2000”al Palazzo Ducale di Genova (2004-2005).Si sono inugurati alla fine del 2004 il nuovo Asian Art Museum San Francisco e il Museo Nazionale d’Arte Catalana a Barcellona.Sono state inaugurate nel corso del 2005 la sede della Cancelleria dell’Ambasciata Italiana e l’Istituto Italiano di Cultura a Tokio, oltre al Palavela di Torino per i Giochi Olimpici Invernali 2006.Sono in corso la progettazione del nuovo lungolago di Meina (Novara),una nuova sede direzionale a Riminie l’ampliamento di due centrali di termoutilizzazione di rifiuti solidi urbani in provincia di Rimini e Forlì,il progetto di una nuova unità di vinificazione nella Tenuta Campo di Sasso a Bibbona (Livorno) ed il progetto di ampliamento dell’Aereoporto di Perugia.Fra i principali riconoscimenti, il titolo di Chevalier de la Legion d’Honneur (Parigi, 1987), Membro Onorario dell’American Institute of Architects - Hon. FAIA (1990), il Praemium Imperiale per l’Architettura, (Tokyo, 1991),il titolo di Cavaliere di Gran Croce al merito della Repubblica Italiana (Roma, 1995), la laurea ad honorem in Belle Arti, Rhode Island Scholl of Design,Providence. (USA) 2001. Nel 2009/2010 presente alla mostra “Elles@centrepompidou”. Artistes femmes dans les collections du Centre Pompidou.

She graduated in 1954 from the Polytechnic of Milan, from 1955 to 1965 was on the editorial team of Casabella-Continuità led by Ernesto Rogers and from 1974 to 1979 on the Board of “Lotus International”.After working on the Museé d’Orsay in Paris (1980-86) and the refurbishment of the Musée National d’Art Moderne in the Centre Pompidou (1982-85), she was responsible for the renovation of the Palazzo Grassiin Venice (1985-86).In the 1990s she designed the new accessto the S. Maria Novella station in Florence (1990),the Italian pavilion at EXPO ‘92 in Seville, the new Temporary Exhibition Gallery at the MilanTriennale (1994),the setting up of the new visitor trail at the Castello Estense in Ferrara (2004) and the exhibition“Arti & Architettura 1900-2000”(Art and Architecture 1900-2000) in the Palazzo Ducale in Genoa (2004-2005).The new Asian Art Museum in San Francisco and the National Museum of Catalan Art in Barcelona were opened at the end of 2004.The Chancellery of the Italian Embassy and the Italian Cultural Institute in Tokyo were opened during 2005, along with the Palavela in Turin for the 2006 Winter Olympic Games.Work in progress includes: design of the new lakeside at Meina (Novara); a new administrative headquarters in Rimini and the expansion of two plants generating electricity from municipal solid waste in the provincesof Rimini and Forlì;the design of a new wine-making plant on the Campo di Sasso Estate at Bibbona (Leghorn) and the design for the extension to Perugia Airport. Honours which she has received include: Chevalier of the Legion d’Honneur (Paris, 1987), Honorary Fellow of the American Institute of Architects-Hon. FAIA (1990),the Praemium Imperiale for Architecture, (Tokyo, 1991), Cavaliere di Gran Croce for services to the Italian Republic (Rome, 1995), and an honorary degreein Fine Arts from the Rhode Island School of Design, Providence, (USA) 2001.In 2009/2010 present at the “Elles@centrepompidou” exhibition. En 1954 elle obtient une maîtrise à l’école Polytechnique de Milan, de 1955 à 1965 elle travaille pour la rédaction de «Casabella-Continuità» sous la direction d’Ernesto Rogers et enfin de 1974 à 1979 elle travaille pour le Comité de Direction de “Lotus International”. Après la réalisation du Musée d’Orsay à Paris (1980-86) et après le nouvel aménagement du Musée National d’Art Moderne se trouvant au Centre Pompidou (1982-85), elle s’est occupée de la restauration du Palais Grassi à Venise (1985-86). A partir de 1990 elle a réalisé le projet du nouvel accès de la gare S. Maria Novella à Florence (1990), le papillon Italien de l’EXPO 92 de Séville, la nouvelle Galerie pour les Expositions Temporaires à la Triennale de Milan (1994), l’aménagement du nouveau parcours de visite de Castello Estense à Ferrare (2004) et l’aménagement de l’exposition “Arti & Architettura 1900-2000” au Palais Ducal de Gênes (2004-2005).En fin d’année 2004, Elle a fait l’inauguration du nouvel Asian Art Museum San Francisco ainsi que l’inauguration du Musée National d’Art Catalan à Barcelone.Courant 2005, ont eu lieu l’inauguration du siège de la Chancellerie de l’Ambassade Italienne et de l’Institut Italien de la Culture à Tokyo mais également le «Palavela» de Turin pour les jeux olympiques d’hiver 2006. Les projets en cours: la réalisation de la nouvelle Promenade près du lac de Meina (Novare); un nouveau siège de direction à Rimini et l’agrandissement de deux centrales pour le recyclage des déchets urbains dans la Province de Rimini et de Forlì;le projet d’une nouvelle unité de vinification du Domaine «Campo di Sasso» à Bibbona (Livourne) et le projet pour l’Aéroport de Pérouse. Parmi les principaux titres délivrés, nous pouvons citer le titre de Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur (Paris, 1987), Membre Honoraire de l’American Institute of Architects - Hon. Hochschulabschluss im Jahr 1954 am Polytechnikum in Mailand, von 1955 bis 1965 Mitarbeit in der Redaktion von Casabella-Continuità, geleitet von Ernesto Rogers und von 1974 bis 1979 Tätigkeit im leitenden Ausschuss von “Lotus International”.Nach der Realisierung in Paris des Museé d’Orsay (1980-86) und der Neugestaltung des Musée National d’Art Moderne im Centre Pompidou (1982-85), hat sie den Umbau vom Palazzo Grassi in Venedig übernommen (1985-86). Ab den neunziger Jahren Durchführung der Planung des neuen Zugangs zum Bahnhof S. Maria Novella in Florenz (1990), des italienischen Pavillons auf der EXPO ‘92 in Sevilla, der neuen Galerie für temporäre Ausstellungen auf der Mailänder Triennale (1994), der Neugestaltung des Besucherrundgangs im Castello Estense in Ferrara (2004) und der Ausstellung “Arti & Architettura 1900-2000” im Palazzo Ducale in Genua (2004-2005). Ende 2004 wurde das neue Asian Art Museum San Francisco und das Nationalmuseum für katalanische Kunst in Barcelona eingeweiht.Im Laufe des Jahres 2005 realisierte sie den Sitz der Kanzlei der italienischen Botschaft und das italienische Kulturinstitut in Tokio sowie den Palavela für die Olympischen Winterspiele 2006 in Turin.Zurzeit befinden sich folgende Projekte in der Ausarbeitung: Die Planung der neuen Seepromenade Meina (Novara); ein neues Direktionszentrum in Rimini und die Erweiterung zweier Thermokraftwerke für Müllentsorgung in der Provinz Rimini und Forli; eine neue Produktionseinheit für die Weinherstellung auf dem Weingut Tenuta Campo di Sasso in Bibbona (Livorno) und das Erweiterungsprojekt des Flughafens von Perugia.Zu den bedeutendsten Auszeichnungen gehört der Titel des Chevalier del la Legion d’Honneur (Paris, 1987), die Ehrenmitgliedschaft des American Institute of Architects - Hon. FAIA (1990), der Kaiserliche Architekturpreis,(Tokyo, 1991), der Titel des Cavaliere di Gran Croce al merito der Republik Italien (Roma, 1995), der Ehrendoktortitel der Schönen Künste, Rhode Island School of Design, Providence.
