- e.g. mandatory salmonella and enzootic pneumonia

Sikava process (Freivillige Maßnahmen)

Sikava rules for farmer1. Contract with vet: frequence of vet visits min 3-4 times /year and

health management plan once a year

- permisson to Sikava and authorization to slaugterhouses and other

instances to look at Sikava

2. Freedom of diseases: salmonella, enzootic pneumonia, mange,

atrophic rhinitis, swine dysentery

3. Health management measures: vaccination programme, deworming,

using painkillers with castration,

ai-ao procedures in finnishers etc.

4. ETT´s biosecurity instructions: animal or semen importsonly by

following ETT´s import rules , feed purchase only from

ETT´s Positive list companies

5. Medicine book keeping in Sikava

6. Limits to mortality, condemnations and medication
