Background

Aleksandar Pavlov Inventor of Pavlov's Method and Director of Pavlov Medical Cosmetics

I am first a foremost a scientist, I have spent my life marveling at the natural world; at its wonders and many delights. My background is in the natural sciences. I am also man of many ideas. I have in the past been involved with ecological projects, namely, water waste-recycling, bio-fuels, with the use of high-frequency currents and with ultrasound and radio frequency therapy. (Please see the attached schedule of projects for further details).

As well as being a scientist, I am also a sportsman and a lover of horses.

Horses

My love for horses dates from my early childhood, when as a little boy, I would leave the warmth of my bed so that I could sleep with the horses in their stables. As I grew older, my fondness and respect for horses grew. I began to feel a strong desire to learn about them and to meet their needs. As with every living being, horses are also susceptible to illness. I spent, days, months and years trying to help to relieve their pain. I succeeded in my goal after the idea dawned on me that I could use my botanical and pharmaceutical knowledge and the natural wealth of Serbia in order to not simply alleviate, but to elimina te their pain.

II Introduction to Pavlov's Method

The idea started in 2009 and it was realised in 2010.

During preparations and competitions in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, my team mates and I would sustain a variety of injuries which would reduce our competitive ability. There were no effective means to alleviate these injuries sufficiently quickly, in particular the swelling and the pain.

Whilst on travels in Europe, I became introduced to therapies used by European and American athletes, which were based on injections, tablets, creams, massages and ultrasound shock wave exposure. However, none of these therapies were able to meet the needs of the athletes as their pain would not be relieved efficiently and quickly. It was during this period that I came up with the idea as to how I could create a method which would target the source of inflammatory pain and provide relief immediately, whether the pain was traumatic or rheumatic in nature.

With the help of friends, professors and academics from the University of Belgrade, and with the assistance of several eminent foreign universities, I knew I was going to make a change in medicine. We got to grips with the problem that Hippocrates, Galen and Celssus had tried to solve; the elimination of pain, the oldest enemy of good health.

I succeeded in my goal; using natural medicine I discovered a solution which could eliminate inflammatory pain. But this was not enough. I went a step further. Using my knowledge of physics and mechanics, I developed an apparatus whereby the effect of the medicine would be enhanced, with the effects evident in a shorter period of time.

Pavlov's method can be used to treat both humans and animals.

III Product Description

There are two aspects to Pavlov's method; the medicine and the apparatus.

Medicine

The task of the medicine is to treat inflammatory pain and medical disorders. It is in liquid/ spray form and there are three varieties suitable for three different uses :

1. Oral medicine 2. Dermatology 3. Pain relief

The medicine is composed of and based on the active principles of most plants and it also comprises of natural spring water. The plants only grow on the planes of Serbia and cannot be grown anywhere else in the world as they cannot take to the land. The natural spring water, and the minerals it contains, is also unique to Serbia.

Apparatus

The task of the apparatus is to awaken and open cells, stimulate tissue and thereby allow the medicine to penetrate deeper and wider into the sources of pam.

The apparatus for the application of the medicine comprises of two applicators:

o The first applicator increases skin permeability.

o The second applicator enhances the transdermal transportation of the medicine.

The operation of the applicators is founded on the synergistic effects of four methods that are based on the use of pulses of high voltage and radio frequency currents, ultrasound, light and laser. Larger or smaller applicators are employed, depending on the size of the surface area that the applicators are to be applied to. For instance, the smallest applicator can be used to treat dental disorders and remedy dental pain, whereas the largest applicator can be applied to the skin.

IV Application of the Method

The therapy can be implemented in several stages:

1. Stimulation using applicator I;

2. Application of the medicine on the skin and mucous membranes; and

3. Stimulation using applicator II.

The first stage - Applicator I is used, in which a radio frequency current and Ie laser are integrated. The target areas are focused on. Using red, blue and green light, a wider area of the skin (mucosa) can be treated. The duration of the treatment is 5-10 minutes depending on the type of treatment.

The second stage -The medicine can be sprayed onto the skin in a quantity which depends on the surface area of the skin.

Third stage - Applicator II in which high and low-frequency ultrasound and high-voltage currents are integrated, is applied to the skin. This process takes 3 to 20 minutes depending on the type of treatment.

The medicine is applied to the skin continuously with the simultaneous application of applicator II, until it is absorbed. The quantity of medicine used depends on the surface area of the skin (mucosa), on the intensity of the pain, on whether the horse's hair has been removed, making for better penetration of the product into the tissue. The dose, however, rarely exceeds 100 m!.

If the medicine is used on its own, pain can be alleviated within three to seven days, depending on the injury and the area affected. With the use of the apparatus, this recovery period is substantially reduced.

VI Contributions

Pavlov's method has proven to be effective in eliminating pain in humans, horses and dogs.

The efficiency of Pavlov's Method has also been statistically demonstrated in several pilot studies.
