Rejected Ideas• A man being a serial killer, and keeping a record

of all the girls he has murdered on his bedroom wall. There would be a wall covered in dead girls.

• A lady who kills those who have hurt her in the past, and now she has come for revenge.

• A young boy doing nothing with his life, no qualifications, no parents, and no friends to turn to, takes his anger out on the rest of the world.

I rejected these ideas because I thought it would be difficult to portray this in just the opening sequence without giving too much away.

Final Idea

• My final idea of the opening sequence will be a conniving young women, be dating more than one man, have them killed and steal their money.

Inspiration

• My inspiration has come from a programme Crime Watch, that I watched on TV, and it was about a women who married men who had loads of money, and then killed them and got off with everything they owned. I think this would be a good idea because it is different to most thriller films that are made.

Production Logo

• I will make my own production logo, which will appear before and after the opening sequence begins

Camera Angles

• My opening sequence will have a range of camera angles, even when the same scene is being shot. I think this will make it much more interesting and realistic.

• I will be using close-ups for most of my opening sequence so that not much of the scene is given away, and would make the viewer wonder.

• I will also be using long shots, medium shots, over head shots and over the shoulder. I think over the shoulder would most probably make the viewer feel suspense.

Characters

• The characters that I think I will use are my friends from out of school because I feel they will be serious enough to help me put this opening sequence together.

• I thought that using people from my school, would be difficult because they may have a busy schedule and not have enough free time to film. I will try my best to minimize the amount of characters in the opening sequence.

Music/Background Sound

• When I thought about the background sounds, I knew I wasn’t able to make a sound good enough because I hadn’t tried it before, so I thought it would be best if I used a sound that was already made.

• I will definitely be using music which will build up suspense and let the viewer know that my opening sequence is a thriller movie.
