A Wolf Cub Pack may seem like an odd place to
find junior planners, however, it is not when
your Leader (Akela) is Ken R. Johnson, ACP,
MCIP. Picking a community for the Pack to
work on was a bit of challenge, but in the end,
Akela chose the new aboriginal community of
Natuashish in Labradour.
The first part of the exercise was spent giving
a n e x p l a n a t i o n o f t h e p r o c e s s u s e d b y
profess iona l p lanners , and the communi ty
infrastructure important to planning such as
roads, buildings, green space.
The Wolf Cub junior planners used marker pens
to do their planning work.
T h e i m a g i n a t i o n s o f t h e Wo l f C u b j u n i o r
planners were very creative, and produced very
interesting community plans.
After the Wolf Cub junior planners f inished
t h e i r p l a nn i n g wo r k , t h e y we r e g i v en t h e
chance to explain what they did to the other
members of the Pack.
