CMS Project Management BPA
Platinum as the prime contractor supports the CMS Project Management streamlined processes for P/PM that includes, but is not limited to, project management and development of plans, products and deliverables that impact the Agency’s most mission-critical activities to identify and mitigate risk to the Agency’s programs. These efforts will include the creation and maintenance of integrated project schedules, reports, and/or other templates in support of CMS project based requirements.

HHS/CMS New Medicare Card National Program Support of SSN Removal
Platinum as the prime contractor supported the New Medicare Card policy changes for CMS. Platinum, using Agile processes, stood up a cloud-based Amazon Web Service (AWS) and Atlassian JIRA Confluence service . This supported New Medicare Cards and benefits for 58 million Americans. We are providing national advisory support and technical expertise regarding medical, and health care operations; health care data analysis; and national health policy development for CMS, SSA and OMB.

HHS/ACF Grants Risk Management BPA and Task Order
Platinum was awarded a prime contract for the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) for Grants Risk Management & Emergency Preparedness Budget Support for $4.3 million. Platinum will be supporting the ACF Office of Grants Management (OGM) and the Office of Human Services, Emergency Preparedness and Response (OHSEPR) in the administration risk management expertise to support the Office of Grants Management in assessing and improving its internal control environment and business processes in order to promote the efficiency and effectiveness of grants management operations.

Reporting Portal Modernization
Platinum led the business process re-engineering effort that was the groundwork for HHS Grants Re-imagine and ReInvent. Our work supported the HHS review for the Data Act and USA Spending to support that integration of Federal e-commerce processes for grant awards, payments and accounting, such as grant financial reporting. We supported the HHS/PSC in achieving this by embracing 21st century architectures, agile development and user-centric design approaches to create a transparent, secure, efficient, and accessible environment.

Support Processes
Platinum supports the Office of Naval Research (ONR) to perform grant post-award administration on contracts and grants with universities and nonprofit research organizations. Platinum supported NIH NIDDK to conduct meetings with other NIH groups within the grant and budget community to determine if there is any uniformity for policy, procedures, and/or approving officials related to prior year adjustments within the NIH. We developed a standard form for submitting requests which includes required information such as requestor name; original transaction details (i.e. grant/ requisition/purchase order number, process date, amount); adjustment amount; purpose for adjustment; appropriation law approvals that meet the purpose, time, and bona fide need rules from specific officers (i.e. Contracting Officer, Grants Management Officer, Executive Officer, etc.) and final certification of funds approval from Budget Officer or delegated staff.

As a prime contractor, Platinum supports the VA OSDBU Direct Access Program's (DAP's) mission is to facilitate the planning, scheduling, and execution oversight of all Direct Access Events (to include national, regional, and local) for VA program offices, using project management protocols.
