    DuetobereleasedinAmericaonDecember12th,FarCry:VengeancelookssettobeoneothemoreinterestingtitlesavailableortheWii.AlthoughitwillessentiallybeanenhancedremakeotheXboxversion,itistheWiiremotesuniquecontrolsystemthatsetsitapartromitsolderbrother.Therewillbethreenewmapsavailabletoplayon,whichhavealsobeenincludedin

    thesingleplayerstoryline.Therewillalsobenewweaponsandahandulonewvehiclesoryoutoplaywith. JackCarver,thegamesmaincharacter,isntlookingathisbesthowever,romthevideosandscreenshotsreleasedsoar,hisarmslookequivalenttothoseintheall-conqueringonlinemultiplayergameCounterStrike.Hopeullythiscanberectiedbeorerelease,althoughitsnotamajorissue. Nevertheless,asstatedbeore,itwillbehowthegamehandlesthatwillmake

    orbreakit.Whatsthepointinbuyinganewgamethatisidenticaltotheonethatcamebeoreit,exceptoraewnewweaponsandlevels?AswithallgamesortheWii,itwillbetheuniquecontrolsystemthatwillbethemainsellingpoint. Forexample,whenplayersaredualwieldingweaponstheWiiremoteandthenunchukallowthemtohavegreatercontroloveryourammousage,

    byseparatelyringeachone.Also,itwillallowgreatercontroloverwhenreloading.Nolongerwillplayershavetoreloadbothweaponsatthesametimeandbecaughtstandinginthecrossrebeingshottohighheavenbyeverynearbyenemy.Asoyetthereisnooptiontoaimeachoneindependently,withbothweaponsusingthesamecrosshair.Independentaimingison

    thewishlist,butwiththereleasedatelooming,theremaynotbethetimetoimplementit. AnothereatureothegamethatmaybeenhancedbytheWiiremoteisthevehicles.Withawiderangeavailable,romboatstojeepsandeverythinginbetween,itopensupawholenewmethodoplay.IndependentlyaimingyourgunwiththeWiiremotewhiledrivingthecarwiththenunchukisoneoption. GiventhattheWiiremoteisanewconceptthough,willpeoplebeabletopickupandplaylikeNintendohasaimed

    orwithitsothergames?Willthisversionowhatis,essentially,anXboxgamebeworthorkingout40or?Therewillbeotheroriginalgamesavailablethatmaydeserveyourattentionrst,buthopeullyitwillbeworthalook.KeepyoureyeonthisoneasithasthepotentialtobeoneothebetterWiigames.

    getright-youwanttheeelingomassandpowerwithouthavingtoghttoturnthethingmid-air-butwecanthelpworryingthatthenishedeectwillbemoreeaglethangiantwar-lizard.

    Nevertheless,wearepromisedhugegroundcampaignsagainstarmiesoopponents,epicair-battlesagainstotherdragonridersandadeepstorylinewith

    visceralgameplay.Allowhichcantbeabadthing-evenitheyonlymanagetocomethroughwithhalothem.

    OnethingwecancertainlysayisthatLairislookingsplendid,easilyasgoodastheearlyrenderssuggested,yetinreal-time.Modelsareextremelywellrendered,thedrawdistanceisvastandtheprolierationonext-geneectssuchasHDR,bump-mappingandamyriadothereects,

    havegivenLairastrong,consistentandwell-developedartstyle.Frankly,itherame-ratecanbekeptconsistentandthephysicsmodeldoesntletthesidedown,wecanseeLairbeingoneoouravouriteearlyPS3titles.Wevealreadypencilleditinonourshoppinglistornextspring,andwethinkyoushouldtoo.
