  • 21. Features of PetroMaterials Corporation

    Experienced Technology PetroMaterials Corporation (PMC) was established in 1994, having its experienced training technology of OCTG pipe & tubes and long term experienced production technology of OCTG and Drill Pipes. Head Quarter is located in Tokyo, Japan . PMC have two(2) major facilities , one in Wakayama, Japan and the other in CangZhou , China . Sales areas are China, Japan, Middle-East, South Asian area and North America.

    Wide range OCTG and Drilling materials available Trading department is trading 50,000 tons OCTG materials annually to export Japanese products. API OCTG, Sour Service OCTG, Drill Pipe, Drill Collar, HWDP and Premium Connection are available for wide range size.

    Two Production LocationsTwo major Production location are in Japan and China. Threading OCTG, Drill Pipes, Drill Collar and HWDP are manufactured to use Japanese high quality raw materials and high quality production technology.Wakayama Works in JapanWakayama Works is located in the west of Japan closed to Sumitomo Metal Industries, Ltd. (SMI) and is equipped with Upset machine, Walking beam type Heat-Treatment furnace with internal Quenching System, Friction Welding for drill pipe, Threading lathe and NDI system.

    Short deliver time can be available, since Mother pipe are being kept in stock which shall be supplied from SMI and Nippon Steel Corporation (NSC).CangZhou Works in China CangZhou Works is located in south of Beijing which manufacture high quality Drill Pipe , HWDP and Drill Collar supported by both experienced Japanese technology and Japan- made equipments. Its mother upset pipe and Tool Joint Blank and Solid Bar for Drill Collar and HWDP are supplied from Wakayama Works , Japan or US steel manufacturer . It has been equipped with Drill pipe manufacturing Line (Friction welding, boring and turning lathe and NDI), Tool Joints line (Heat-treatment furnace and threading) and Drill Collar and HWDP Line (Heat-Treatment, BTA, Turning lathe, Threading) and so on .

    Line-up of Products

    CASING and TUBING PMC represent SMI (Sumitomo Metal Industries Ltd) and carry SMIs Casing and Tubing in stocksTubing: 2-3/8 to 4-1/2 Casing: 4-1/2 to 1618-5/8 and 20 Casing with Buttress threads : PMC to buy ERW plain end pipes from JFE Steel & NSC (Nippon Steel co.) and to cut threads at Wakayama Works , Japan to make finished Casing

    Drill PipesProduction range cover 2-3/8 to 6-5/8PMC to purchase Green Tube from SMI and NSC and to perform Upset and Heat Treatment at Wakayama Works followed by the Friction Welding to be performed at both Wakayama and CangZhou Works to customers preference.High Torque Drill Pipe and Sour Service Drill Pipes are available.Start production of Tool Joint in July 2009.

    HWDP (Heavy Wall Drill Pipe)Both Friction welding and Integral Type are availableFriction welding Type : 4137H Materials and AISI 1340/G105 for Central part to be used for middle joints are used.Integral Type : Quenched and tempered 4145H materials are used

    Drill Collar Slick and Spiral)2-3/8 to 11 OD Drill Collar to AISI 4145HM are available.Non Magnetic Drill Collar is also available.
