360PMOPMI-ACP recognized knowledge of Agile principles, practices, tools and techniques across Agile methodologies. It is a significant step in the industry of PMI to recognize the Agile area and start offering certification. PMI first started the pilot in October 2011 and finished it on November 30, 2011. The official testing started in January 31, 2012, and within a short period PMI-ACP already exceeded Risk, & Scheduling certified professionals

The Project Management Institute (PMI) has developed a certification for project management practitioners who are using Agile practices in their projects, or whose organizations are adopting Agile approaches to project management.

The PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMIACP) has been designed to:

Demonstrate to employers the practitioners level of professionalism in Agile practices of project management,Increase the practitioners versatility in project management tools and techniques,Show that the practitioner has the capacity to lead basic Agile project teams, andProvide a framework for Agile training and professional development initiatives.

360PMOFollowing are the timelines of the PMI-ACP certification process:

Application Submission: Once you start your application, you will have 90 days to complete and submit the application. After 90 days PMI will close the application in their system but you always have the choice to re-open.Application Completeness Review: PMI takes up to 10 days to conduct the application completeness review if the application is submitted online.Application Payment Process: You cannot schedule the exam until you submit payment of certification fees.Audit: If your application is selected for audit, you will have 90 days to send PMI requested audit materials. PMI processes audit materials in 5-7 days. (Eligibility begins upon successful completion of the audit.)Exam: You will have 1 year from the date of the application accepted. You can take the exam up to 3 times during this 1 year.
