Anxiety

Anxiety,

A disorder like no other.

A disconnect in brain pathways,Causing normal thoughts to smother.

Anxiety,A fast way to build a fear.

For brain locks and links the thoughts you think,

Which later may appear.

Anxiety,

With guilt and unforgiveness shows.

For were not perfect and sometimes do,Things with reason no one knows.

Anxiety,Lessened by some things.

To thine own self be true be one,

For conflict less it brings.

Anxiety,

A cure from within us exists.

Forgive yourself and pray for strength,Then hard on self resist.

Be Not Afraid

Afraid I cannot be,

Of anything I see,

Of anything I think,May bring harm to me.

With God as my Shepherd,Through the valley I will go,

Without fear of anything,

For I love Him so.

Be True

Never compromise your principles,

For self-punishment is worse,

Than that inflicted on us,By any of our world.

And if you ever do,Your saving grace be God,

For with faith in Him youll learn,

To stand straight and carry on.

Befriend

Closest to the angels,

Are the elderly.

They must be so close,For calm and happy be.

After time so long,On earth blessed to have.

Good friends must have made,

With guardian angel had.

Why else would they not,

More and more require.

If not learned from God,Always had all their desire.

From them we can learn,To befriend our angels near.

To appreciate our place,

And what we have right here.

Then later will we know,

That come our time to leave.

With angels we spent it,Not driven by our greed.

Blue

Feeling blue is part of life,

Like feeling bright or cheery.Feeling blue is part of strife,

Like when youre feeling merry.

So feel blue when its your time,But just dont overdo it.

So feel blue when its your dime,

But just dont overspend it.

Cape

Both superman and batman to,

Wear a cape of courage.

Displayed on back to thwart attack,And to evil discourage.

When it seems the end is near,No place to turn around.

When it seems your stuck in gear,

Then best do what I found.

Thats pray to God for helping you,

For all that He has done.

And ask for help again this time,No pride should stop you from.

Pray for garment just as big,To wear like heros coat.

Pray with all your heart and soul,

For Gods good cape of hope.

Change

Change is hard I know is it,

But all can change,

If wanting it.

Make up your mind to make a change,And stick to it,

Though hard the way.

Pray to God to help you too,And you will see,

Improvement soon.

And worry not if back you step,A time or two,

Until correct.

For nobody is perfect now,

But better be,

If made a vow.

And in some time when you look back,

Youll see the change,

In way you act.

Confused

Youre confused I understand,

But let me help erase.

This confusion that youre plagued,So you no longer face.

Make up your mind, do it now,To always choose whats right.

Then the voices in your head,

Will no longer fight.

True be hard I know it well,

To change your ways of old.

But gift of peace will surely come,To mind if course you hold.

Further know to follow heart,So nothings compromised.

For when you choose a selfish gain,

To wins no longer prized.

Confusion caused by many things,

But theres one thing I know.

That mostly caused when wanting things,That Spirit hasnt sown.

Courage

Courage to help, to lend a hand,

Even if you know;

That come back to you, it may not,But on again you go.

Still help others help,Then come what may, what might.

Each time youll earn more courage,

To continue doing right.

Tell to you, that if you do,

Deeds done thanklessly;

An eternity, of rest in peace,Will your reward be!

Course

Like a guiding light,

To show the way.

His beacon at night,Helps me not stray.

Though waters be rough,And storm brew may,

And not easy seen,

The light of way.

With faith Im certain,

Like channel marks.

That God will lead me,And keep from harm.

But faith be doubted,And word not kept.

Then try harder must,

Or water be swept.

The key is to try,

And always show.

That you know Gods there,When course be blown.

Then lighthouse will lead,

To port of love,Where easy is seen,

Course from Above.

Digest This

Pay it Forward, great movie made,

To show us very much.

That a favors ripple can change,The lives of those it touched.

Fiction you say, it cant be done,Well to you I tell.

That everyday theres kindness made,

But in papers doesnt sell.

So seek good news, try Readers Digest,

For touching stories non-fiction.

Then do your part to help more spark,Their good-deed motor ignition.

For true good things in movies can be,If you pay attention.

And learn to block the negative shock,

By promoting good intention.

Down

Its not easy growing up,

Though growing up I am.

At least I think Im growing up,For hurt and guilt began.

Im trying hard and setting rules,Though break them sometimes do.

And learning letting others down,

Is worse than them to you.

So believe me when I say,

To others state your case.

Be it good or not so good.You must protect your face.

Just one more thing I want to tell,That when you let them down.

Its not just them that down you let,

But you that you let down.

Fear

You have fears as all we do,

Though may not even know.

As once I thought not any had,But know ok if so.

Once accept that fears we have,For part of being human.

Then to choose our way to cope,

Is next thing to be doin.

For me its best as you can see,

To face my fear with faith.

To pray to God to be with me,At times that seem too great.

And when I do and wait for Him,Down path Hell show the way.

With your faith you will see to,

Your fear no more today.

Freedom

As a soaring hawk above us flying free,

With glorious wings spread in wonderful beauty.

The hawk careless seems to float up in the sky,As free as the hawk seems it still has cares heres why.

The floating and soaring that we view from the ground,Is actually the search for food that the hawk is bound.

For to feed his young the hawk must seek below,

Nourishment from food to eat so tenderlings can grow.

Its also territory that he must protect,

To keep predators away so his young they do not get.

The hawk surely has great responsibility,So to envy its freedom seems just like you and me.

Goal

Our goal as humans now distorted,

Best as I can tell.

It seems to me that all I see,Is want of money well.

Education is important,For each one to have.

But use of it to money get,

May only come to bad.

For if the cash your only drive,

When is there enough.

For you to stop and spend some time,With all of those you love.

What good is it to have it all,If cannot be seen.

The joy to share the things you have,

With those of lesser means.

Now our goal for each of us,

Ought be to live and love.

And constantly our course to change,To grow and live as one.

Good

Theres a little good in everything,

Though sometimes hard to see.

Theres a little good in everything,As much in you as me.

Try not to have a gloomy hope,Where trouble easy seen.

Instead should find on radar scope,

A glowing shimmer glean.

Then by living a good way,

If some think bad of you.

Theyll look to find the goodness may,In other things you do.

With a start now such as this,Its possible the good,

Can be found by all who look,

If only start we could.

Hand

Maybe sometimes the cards Im dealt,

Dont seem favorable at all.

Sometimes its a downright shame,They put my back against the wall.

The cards I play sure make it hard,To break even at the end.

The hand I have is best if played,

Not to win but not to spend.

Why is it inevitable,

That before each and evry hand.

I know to gain a cent or two,Ill have to struggle all I can.

To understand the cards Im dealt,I know I never will.

But glad I am that I still can,

Be in the hand now still.

Happiness

Im watching another be happy,

And happy I am within.

Im watching another whose happiness is,Nearing that of mine to begin.

So if you ask me Ill tell you this,That sure you will know if you care.

When seeing the happiness on someone else,

By catching their smile by stare.

Life

Like allergies at pollen time,

Is life we live throughout our time.

Like those of us who suffer when,The flowers bloom when spring begins.

In springtime bloom is glorious,But price to pay notorious.

By runny nose and weeping eyes,

Then scratching throat and sneezing times.

So if new life did not begin,

Then no discomfort with us then.

But also not the earths beauty,Improving life by being seen.

With this in mind small price to pay,When knowing life we have today.

Brings inconvenience now and then,

For without it means that all is dead.

Luck

The best of bad luck Ive had,

Believe it I hardly can.

Can it be even called bad luck,Or inconvenience now and again.

Here is my story Ill tell you,That recently my car broke down.

But just as it happened I saw,

A repair shop right down the block.

Then as the story continues,

I was meeting someone half way.

And ok it was for them,To get me home later that day.

The same incident still no problem,Though you may think I need to walk far.

For out of town was my girlfriend,

And keys I had to drive her car.

Other incidents just the same,

Where bad luck wasnt that bad.

Maybe its God watching over me,Or learned to good attitude have.

Maturity

Feeling bad for what you did,

Now a sign to you.

Of maturity setting in,And time to start anew.

For now a sign to you,Beginning of the call.

To be a better person,

And to care much more for all.

So continue in your change,

And realize the strength.

Of great and Holy Spirit,To come to you to save.

There may be some steps back,And then harder you must try.

Just know youre never perfect,

But the goal continue fight.

Eventually youll see,

That grown up now you are.

And past put your old ways,To become a brighter star.

Because of everything you are,

You are now what you are.

Its your experience gained,That made you best by far.

Though not do I know,Your past that youve been made.

But know that sure I am,

That it sculpted you like jade.

Like a priceless piece of art,

Or like a canyon that is grand.

The things that you have learned,Have molded thoughts that take a stand.

So these things that youve been through,Whether bad or good they may.

Have crafted the beautiful you,

That you are today.

Moments

Though many things there arent,

Surely still there are,

Things that bring me peace,And comfort me by far.

Like the sight and sound of waves,Coming to the shore,

Its comforting to know,

Theyll come forever more.

Whenever chance is seen,

To see the setting sun,

I stop to pay attention,To each and every one.

And shines like nothing else,Full moon over the sea;

The glow reflects for miles,

In wonderful beauty.

Should be a sin for us,

To take for granted these,

God given peaceful moments,So each one we should seize.

Neighbor

Your neighbor is writing a book,

Another a professional cook.

You never know, what they do,But each one is worth a good look.

Did you ever wonder from where,Those making a difference did appear.

Well let me tell you, its like this,

That each one is a neighbor somewhere.

Like a new springtime flower bud,

From your favorite plant.

Or a newly ripe tomato,Off of plant by gardners hand.

Like a child new to the air,On his first airplane trip.

Or a pilots first solo flight,

After completing her checklist.

Is a new day to us all,

Rising to meet the day.

Where our new beginning now,Forgets the past we made.

Next Love

I dont know from where,

Your next love will come.

But dont be discouraged by,A prior one undone.

If for love you gave before,And work out it didnt do.

Dont be shy to try again,

For live and learn do you.

Not down on love should be,

If before you have been burnt.

Now leave it in the past,The next one may not hurt.

No risk no gain in romance,So get up and try again.

Remember not all bad,

And next time you can win.

Nice

Nice you be and nice you must,

For what good to spread distrust?

Nice is good and nice easy,

Just flip the bad for nice to see.

Nice not weak nor nice afraid,

Rather nice of men are made.

Nice listens and nice is there,

Like a friend to always hear.

Nice better than that not so,Its up to us to spread you know.

You fear, youre stuck,

I dont care, dont you rut

Get on up and out!

Why fear, why stare,Why forever care be near

Leave it left for not!

Face it, beat it,With a swift kick, kick it

A foothold for the devil,

Never should you give.

So do your best you should,To not be negative.

If glass has any water,Be glad to drink it in.

Not to focus on,

The need for more within.

And if times seem tough sometimes,

Be glad tough times you have.

For no times would you enjoy,If here not by Gods own plan.

Your place in would right now is fine,

Though not where you thought youd be.

But place your in may soon begin,To make sense to you and me.

So do your best to do your part,For those where contact is made.

And keep in mind that anything done,

For good to them will not fade.

For when you spread your good through life,

No matter the place youve been brought.

Then your example will carry on,To those your good lessons were taught.

Positive

Be positive in face of destruction,

Of negative ways I mean.

Keep head held high and listen not,To hopeless ways some lean.

Be all you can and stay your course,Because theres always people,

To do their best to knock you off,

Your horse for any reason.

So if big dreams keep dreaming big,

Because some people make it.

And worry not of backup plan,Until its time to face it.

You are not always recovering,

For if that were true.

Then before it came and hit,You would be preparing for it too.

It can be by circumstance,That by chance it has hit you.

So whatever problem in your past,

May be fully out, thats true.

Sacrifice

To do whats right may truly hurt,

But better off are you.

To sacrifice yourself for time,And reach for those of blue.

When it seems theyre down and out,And hope from them not seen.

Try again without a doubt,

And try to better bring.

For turn your back and go your way,

May seem like less resistance.

But who has gained from turning back,So turn to their assistance.

To handle times and hang in tough,Pray you should each day.

And ask the Lord for guidance in,

How to light their way.

Smooth sailing on the immorality sea,

Ought to never come.

But if indeed by chance your deed,Finds bad habits done.

Then close you look to evaluate,The life that has been sown.

To find your way to change today,

So life dont live alone.

Then sail on a different sea,

One with destination.

A sea of calm with goodness done,By habits of salvation.

Sin I sow and so will you,

For we are both human.

Control yourself I ask you now,To commit it lesser then.

For you can change and slowly grow,To become a better one.

Ask forgiveness, make a change,

And continue til youve won.

Its hard I know to past put it,

But its important to.

Gods soldierforever marching forth.

For goodness brought to others,

No matter what the cost.

Gods soldierwith lone weapon of love.Fights the battle with his heart,By the strength from up Above.

Pray to God with all your heart,

When change you want to do.

Have faith in God and do your part,So He will help change you.

Old ways of yours though so ingrained,Not easy to erase.

But to continue them through life,

May surely cause disgrace.

So make a stand I know you can,

To make this change for you.

And pray to God to help you to,Make you a person new.

Starfish

I wish their language you could speak,

And speak to them in their tongue.

Then you could ask them what you just asked me,

How important I am to just one.

For everywhere down the beach you can see,

Starfish washed up on the shore.

And up to me then you came to ask,

How returning some would help some more.

But not at all was the young boy's concern,

If helping them all that day did.But helping the ones that he handled that day,

Like savior to them though a kid.

Would you believe now that later that day,

This boy had found some more help.From a man who had to leave early from work,

After hearing how one young man felt.

The Paper Reads

It may seem lofty, and seem unreasonable,

But nonetheless, I know its feasible.

So listen well, youll be amazed,To know your life, now I can change:

I can change your life!The paper reads.

I can mold it however you like.I can make you a doctor, a lawyer, an engineer.

I can make you an artist, with paint or a pen.


I can make it better in time.I can cure your ills, your addictions, your loneliness.

I can bring you to distant lands, anywhere.

I can change your life!

The paper reads.

I can bring you out of poverty.I can make you comfortable, secure, and even wealthy.

I can make you the one others read about.


I can improve your relationships.

I can repair your marriage and improve your loving (if you know what I mean).

Again, I can bring you to places youve never been (if you know what I mean).

I can sculpt a new you.

I can improve your physique, tone your abs and your derrire.I can make you more beautiful, inside and out.

Seems boring and dull,

Until incident arises.Then rely on your training,

To avoid any surprises.

A watchmans guard,

However thankless be.

Always important to all,For our country to be free.

Though the post minute,

And insignificant may seem.Its the presence thats important,

To deter by being seen.

So next time head low,

And ever thanked be not.

Be aware of your necessity,In helping terror stop!

What Could, Can

If you think that all you could have had, is all youve already had,

Then read on, dear, so you will see its not at all that bad.

For what you seek youve already sought, but just because it wasnt had,

Doesnt mean that what youll have wont erase a past so bad.

So the hope you mustve had, must still exist for future plans,

And in keeping that hope youre sure to find a ship approaching land.

For what we thought cannot be what we think, or else all learning stopped.

So keep thinking and hoping in new ways, for things that cant be topped.
