    After super storm sandy in 2012, many buildings near the New Jersey shore were damaged. The purpose of the NOAA research facility is to continue biological experiments and research at the marsh land, while its structure and form protects the building from any weather damages or natural diseasters

    James street in Newark, New Jersey is a busy urban neighborhood close to the downtown district. The facade wall of this town-house addresses the issue by having a solid masonary exteror wall to in inuence private programs. The form of the exterior wall is wave-like to express vertical circulation while it inuence varies furniture conditions on the interior wall.

    The location of the site is on a hill terrain. The concept of the boonton re station is to keep the language of the landscape. The restation continues the language by ultilizing the back retaining wall with the interior private programs, while the front exterior public spaces react to the existing recreational programs on the site.

    SCHOLAR HOUSINGThe scholar housing design follow the common urban housing projects in the university height district of Newark, where as vertically the commerical spaces are closer to the street while the residential are further from the street. The organization in the scholar housing strategy the connection of the commerical and residental programs horizontally while keeping the common urban organization. The method that is used causes exibility of the volumes to form semi-private and communal program to balance the vertical commerical and residential programs.

    The Ironbound community in Newark has a strong diversity of culture and ethicity. The Libary was design to gather the diversity of the community under one roof. The roof is a symbolism of gathering and invitation while the programs are organize in a transitional phrases from public at ground oor to private at the fourth oor.

    Locating a block building to intersect the direction of the highline creates a gateway from one city block to the other. The block building is a plaza that relates to the surrounding content of the site. The base levels are strictly commerical, the oce slab above is orientated with the existing oce buildings on the north end, the residence tower follows the setback laws but segrated from the busy crowd of the highline and the landscape from the ground level to the elevated plaza follow a similar sequal language as the highline.

    The site is located in South Bronx, New York, which is known for its industrial history. The benet of the culture center is to preserve the history by three method: - adaptive reuse on the surface of the site which would preserve the site indenity - the city fabric preserves the culture of the site by preserving the buildings - deconstruction of the preserve buildings from light wells

    Urban Stratication is the manifestation of the muti-layered system that makes up the urban fabric. The collision between the citys infrastructure and rising, new construction leads to eruption, forminga new icon for the community. Each of these layers are interwoven, linking the two contrasting stratas that make up the neighborhood. Vistors will be invited to view the creation of bio-fuel at rst hand and learn about substainable design.
