Potsdams von Meisterhand gestaltete Kultur-landschaft gehört neben den ägyptischen Pyramiden und der Chinesischen Mauer zum UNESCO-Welterbe. Es war das Streben von Fürsten, Königen und Kaisern nach einem irdischen Stück vom Paradies, welches die Schlösserlandschaft hat entstehen lassen. In diesem Umfeld haben sich auch moderne Wissenschaften angesiedelt. Die Astrophysik, die Geo- und die Klimaforschung erhalten aus Potsdam wesentliche Impulse.

Potsdam ist eine Stadt voller Kultur: ein Kon-zertsaal mitten in der friderizianischen Altstadt oder die sich zum Wasser öffnende kühne

Architektur des Hans Otto Theaters. Dort, in der Schiffbauergasse, haben Kultureinrichtungen verschiedenster Art ihren Standort. In den Pots-dam-Babelsberger Studios werden seit 100 Jahren Filme produziert. Häufig bietet die Stadt selbst atemberaubende Filmkulissen. Da wun-dert es nicht, dass auch das älteste Filmmuseum Europas hier zu Hause ist.

Like the pyramids of Egypt and the Great Wall of China, Potsdam’s cultural landscape, fash-ioned by masters of their craft, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The desire of princes, kings and emperors for a little piece of paradise on earth gave rise to the sumptuous palaces and gardens. Now, modern science has also found a home in these surroundings. Important ideas for astrophysics, geological and climate research are coming from Potsdam.

Culture is everywhere in Potsdam, from the concert hall in the centre of Frederick the Great’s historic city to the bold architecture of the Hans Otto Theatre, which overlooks the water. There, in the “Schiffbauergasse”,all kinds of cultural institutions can be found.

Potsdam’s Babelsberg Studios have been producing films for a hundred years. And the city itself frequently provides a breathtaking backdrop for these films. So it’s no surprise that the oldest film museum in Europe is also located here.

The ensemble of palaces, parks and gardens, the historic city centre, modern cultural sites, forests and waterscapes – not to forget the German capital Berlin close by – all this makes Potsdam a highly fascinating location for your conferences, meetings and events.

Anreise… mit dem AutoPotsdam befindet sich innerhalb des Berliner Autobahnrings A10, in den Autobahnen aus allen Richtungen münden. An Potsdam führt unmittelbar die A115 vorbei, die den Berliner Ring mit dem innerstädtischen Schnellstraßen-system verbindet.

… mit der BahnPotsdam liegt an den Regionalbahnstrecken Berlin – Magdeburg, Berlin – Dessau sowie an der Linie S7 der Berliner S-Bahn. Von Potsdam sind es 25 bzw. 35 Minuten bis zum Berliner Hauptbahnhof mit Anschluss zum Fernverkehr. www.bahn.de, www.s-bahn-berlin.de

… mit dem Flugzeug Die Berliner Flughäfen Tegel und Schönefeld binden Potsdam in den nationalen und inter-nationalen Luftverkehr ein. Die Fahrzeit nach Potsdam beträgt vom Flughafen Tegel ca. 45 Minuten und vom Flughafen Schönefeld ca. 60 Minuten. 2012 nimmt der Aiport Berlin Brandenburg BBI am Standort von Schönefeld den Betrieb auf, Berlin-Tegel wird in der Folge geschlossen. www.berlin-airport.de

Travelling to Potsdam… by carPotsdam is located within the A10, the Berlin motorway road, motorways from all directions meet here. The A115 passes Potsdam directly, linking the Berlin Ring to the inner city express-way system.

… by trainPotsdam is located at the Berlin-Magdeburg and Berlin-Dessau regional train lines and at the S7-line of Berlin’s S-Bahn. The trip from Potsdam to Berlin’s Hauptbahnhof (the main train station) takes 25–35 minutes. The Haupt-bahnhof serves all national and interntional rail services. www.bahn.de, www.s-bahn-berlin.de

… by air The Berlin Tegel and Schoenefeld airports link Potsdam to national and international air travel. Travel to Potsdam takes around 45 minutes from Tegel airport and around 60 minutes from Schoenefeld airport. In 2012, Berlin Branden-burg BBI Airport will commence operations at its Schoenefeld location. Berlin-Tegel will then be closed. www.berlin-airport.de

Mit Vertragsschluss und nach Übersendung der Reisebestätigung (und des Sicherungsscheins bei Reiseverträgen) wird eine Anzahlung in Höhe von 50% des Veranstaltungspreises fällig. Die Endabrechnung erfolgt im An-schluss der Veranstaltung und ist innerhalb von 14 Tagen zahlbar.
