Categories - Add/Edit Categories

All assignments must include a category. Category properties are used as a default for setting up assignment properties.

Creating a New or Modifying an Existing Category If you are going to use an assignment grade to populate the associated standards scores it's best to create a category for assignments with standards. A basic category setup could be the following:

Name: Example -Course WorkAbbreviation: Example - CWColor: "Your Choice"Points Possible: Choose what most of our assignments under this category would be. This can be changed at the assignment level if you want.Score Type : Points or Percentage:Include in Final Grades: Uncheck so Final Grade does not show up in ParentPortalPublish Asssignment: Use default unless you are adding assignments for the futurePublish Scores: Uncheck so scores are not published to ParentPortal
