OVERVIEW OF REPORT STUDIO

Report Studio is a web based application in Cognos ReportNet, which is used to create reports as per company requirements and which will be used for company growth by analyzing the data.


INTRODUCTION TO BURSTING REPORTS

Bursting reports is a process of circulating the information to various end users or recipients. In this type of reports, report is run or executed once and the results are then separated for delivery to recipients who can only view part of data which is required.


BENEFITS OF BURSTING REPORTS

Bursting Reports provide option to deliver a single report to many targets simultaneously.

It also supports Report Authors to create multiple reports out of single report model.

Burst reports can be circulated by email or saved to a directory for viewing in Cognos Connection.


HANDS ON – STEP 1

Report Studio link is selected from the Cognos welcome page and the package is selected for which reports has to be generated.

In welcome dialog box select Create new report or template.

Select List report from the option to create the report.
