Introduction A cyborg is a cyberneticorganism (i.e. an

organism that is a self-regulatingintegration of artificial and naturalsystems). We discuss the operationalfeatures of cyborgs. In an attempt topromote greater interaction betweenhumans and computers, companies that

develop (cybernetic)robotics technologies participate in a varietyof strategies that embody the cyborgdiscourse.

    WHAT IS CYBORG??

A cyborg is Part human and partmachine(robot), a hybrid of neurons and wires

    CYBER DRUGS

Tiny Silicon chips implanted in the bodycould soon imitate the effects of heroin orcocaine. The technology opens up thenightmare prospect of drug barons

controlling victims with message sent byInternet to home computers. The messagewould activate the chip and deliver

    sensations to the brain.

    IN MEDICINE:

In medicine, there are two importantand different types of cyborgs: theseare the restorative and theenhanced.

Bionic implants in medicine allowmodel organs or body parts to mimicthe original function more closely.

By 2004, a fully functioning artificialheart was developed.

    IN ART

Many artists have tried to create publicawareness of cybernetic organisms; thesecan range from paintings to installations.

Stelarc is a performance artist who hasvisually probed and acoustically amplifiedhis body.

Wafaa Bilal is an Iraqi-Americanperformance artist who had a small 10megapixel digital camera implanted on the

    back of his head.

    CONCLUSION

In 2010, the Cyborg Foundation becamethe world's first international organization

dedicated to help humans becomecyborgs. The foundation's main aims are toextend human senses and abilities by

creating and applying cyberneticextensions to the body to promote the useof cybernetics in cultural events and todefend cyborg rights.
