Can you use this pump with blood products?

• It is a human grade pump so it is NOT labeled forblood

• Studies have shown that administering blood througha peristaltic IV pump decreases the chance of survivalof blood cells by 50% (McDevitt 2011)

• PractiVet recommends using our higher-grade pump(Plum Pump) or gravity delivery for blood products forthis reason

1. Press POWER key to turn on the pump

2. Open door & move lever on the left up to feed administration set into pump

3. Install infusion set from left to right –once installed the green light will turn on

4. Close door5. Set infusion parameters & press
