Training Objectives

Describe the purpose of the SNIA Emerald Program and the EPA ENERGYSTAR Program for Data Center Storage

Describe the key components for a storage system under test, understand the storage industry taxonomy for the system under test, identify the key workload tests run by Vdbench for system under, understand the raw and summarized data being collected from a system under test, and how the summarized data correlates to reported key metrics

Install and configure Vdbench and a power measurement meter for a system under test.

Understand how a system under test relates to a product family

Understand how system configurations and system features can effect energy usage for a system under test

Understand the steps to enroll and submit test results for SNIA Emerald Program and EPA ENERGYSTAR Program

Be familiar with the capabilities, role, and services of independent test labs and certifying bodies

Understand available industry resources to future support and answers
