    1. Create Preventive Maintenance Plan Against Service Agreement

    1.1. SAP Menu Path

    Transaction code IP50

    Preventive Maintenance will be scheduled against the Service Agreement.

    Now press Enter key, system will navigate to the below screen

    NCService Notification with Outline Agrmt

    2. Sales documenthere enter the Agreement Number, against which need to schedule PreventiveMaintenance.

    3. Itementer the Line item number against the Contract Line.

    4. Planning plantEnter the Plant code, which is maintained in the Agreement

    Screen will look as follows

    Now press enter key or click on this button, then system will navigate to below screen.

    1. Cycle/Unitthe cycle time to trigger PM.

    2. Enter the Unit to trigger the PM.

    Screen will be as below

    Here it is mentioned as each 3rd

    month, within the Validity of the selected Agreement.

    Now maintain the below details.

    1. Scheduling Periodmaintain the validity of this PM Schedule

    2. UOM according to the Scheduling period.

    Data has to be maintained as below

    Maintained scheduling period as 1 and UOM as Yr, means 1 year.

    1. Select the Completion Requirementto complete the each schedule in the PM

    2. Start of Cycleenter the Date when the PM has to be started.

    PM schedule will be within the validity of the Agreement Validity, SAP will not schedule PM if the date is,

    beyond Agreement Validity End date.

    Now click on click on Maintenance Plan Schedule, as mentioned below.

    Now system will pop-up below message and click on the SAVE and will navigate to subsequent screen.

    Click on Yes to reach the schedule.

    Maintenance Plan 31 is scheduled.

    2. Scheduling Preventive Maintenance

    2.1. SAP Menu Path

    SAP R/3 menu SAP menu Logistics Customer Service ServiceAgreements Maintenance Planning Scheduling forMaintenance Plans IP10 - Schedule

    Transaction code IP10

    Enter the Maintenance Plan , and press enter key. System will navigate to below screen.

    From above screen click on, Start Button. System will schedule the date. As below screen.

    Here system will confirm the date again. (System will allow to changing the Date, if required. Best

    Practice is to follow the same date which is mentioned in the PM plan creation. If any changes on date

    here, maintain the same date in PM Plan also). Click on this tick mark, system will navigate to below

    screen.

    Date is scheduled as mentioned above.

    System will give this message. Click on Save Button or Control + S. System will reach to below

    screen.

    Note - In the maintenance plane selected cycle time is 3/ Mon and Scheduling period is 1 Yr

    (please find above screens) . Validity period of the Agreement 40000010 is as mentioned below(red box).

    PM schedule Starting Cycle is also on 17.10.2013. Then System is created schedule with 3 Month Gap.

    So SAP Schedule as below

    So best practice to is provide Schedule starting date as Agreement Validity from date, then PMSchedule will be within the Agreement Validity Period.

    Enter the Maintenance Plan and press Enter Key or Click on , system will navigate to below screen.

    Now click on this icon - and select system reachto the scheduled Maintenance Screen.

    Here the PM scheduled dates will be updated here.

    4. Maintenance Scheduling Overview

    4.1. SAP Menu Path

    Many option in the above screen , need to select only below mentioned points only.

    1. Mention the Date which the PM is maintained.

    2. Maintain the end Date in which the PM schedule is going to close (better infinite date 31.12.9999)

    3. Enter the maintenance Plan for which the schedule has to be verified.

    Display can be activated in 3 different ways

    a. Graphical

    b. Tabular

    c. Tabular with navigation tree.

    System will be looks as below

    Against the Maintenance plan 31, PM scheduled is verified. Click on Execute button or Function Key F8

    (Tabular)

    System is triggered notification against the First Call. When the First call is reached (Date e.g.15.01.2014) then system will trigger the next notification for the second line item.

    Best practice to run this report to get the PM schedule as per the period.

    If the Graphical is selected in the selection screen, then system will reach to the below screen. (Screen isexplained with the legends used in the Graph)
