ITIL Overview
• ITIL® is a global process framework that is used for Service Management. It
is owned by AXELOS. There are FOUR levels in ITIL certifications.
• ITIL Foundation: The foundation level covers the entire framework that has
FIVE lifecycle stages. Its like “Mile wide and Inch deep” coverage.
• ITIL Intermediate: The intermediate is applying the ITIL principles and
processes to a scenarios and getting deeper understanding of the particular
stage. Its like “Inch wide and Mile deep” Coverage

ITIL Overview
• ITIL Expert: The Expert level is also known as Managing across life cycle
(MALC). It covers the entire ITIL concepts through the Service Lifecycle
and how the various processes support them. Its like “Mile wide and Mile
deep” coverage.
• ITIL Master: This level of certification is awarded only after confirming the
candidate ability to implement the ITIL processes.
• A new Module has been introduced in 2015 called ITIL Practitioner. It is
parallel to intermediate module.

Intermediate Exam Overview
When you complete your classroom or online training for ITIL you have an option of
taking the exams through online or paper. If the exams are NOT offered as part of
the training package, you will have to pay extra to get these exams completed.
• The examination is closed book
• Duration is 90 Minutes
• There are 8 questions
• Scenario-based Multiple Choice Questions
• Graded scoring marking method Pass Score is 28/40 or 70%

Who should attend?
• There are NO pre requisites to attend ITIL
• It will help the beginners to understand “How Services are Managed?”
