Propaganda supporting WWII(Support involving women)

Grow your own, can your own- women learned to grow their own food so that they would no longer have to pay for food and the food could be sent to soldiers.

Keep mum she’s not so dumb- some women would get

information out of some enemy soldiers to provide

intelligence to the US

 

Of course I can- people learned to ration food and share with people that truly needed it.

Victory waits on your fingers- women helped to keep people informed and get messages to people by becoming stenographers.

Use it up- people learned to make do with what they had and make everything last as long as possible. Most supplies were used for the war effort so there was not a lot left to go around for the citizens.

Post- many women also began to take the place of the men in factories that left for war. They worked to build weapons that were much needed to end the war.

Volunteer for victory- many women joined the war effort by offering medical aid to the injured soldiers. They served as nurses and caretakers in hospitals.

This picture boosted Americans’ confidence in the U.S. military and the war efforts. It showed the people that we were winning the war with help from them.

Attempted to convince Americans that they had to do their part to help the war effort by working back home to produce war supplies.

Portrays that we are fighting the war to prevent Hitler and the Nazis from taking over the U.S. next.

Made to show American soldiers as the heroes who sacrificed their lives for others to stay home and have their freedom.

The military wanted to ignite hatred among Americans for the Japanese to give more support to the war to avenge Pearl Harbor

Reminds people to remember those who sacrificed their lives and died at Pearl Harbor. Also, to remind the American people what started the war between the Japanese and the U.S.
