Pure McLaren

Pure McLaren is the exclusive driving programme of McLaren Automotive,

holding events at some of the world’s finest race circuits to give both

McLaren owners and prospective owners a chance to experience what

our cars are truly capable of.

All Pure McLaren events offer an opportunity to enjoy the performance of

our road cars in a safe, controlled environment. They also provide a chance

to drive our track-only variants, to improve your skills as a driver and even

to progress through our advanced coaching programme for those who

want to go racing.

The courses available cater for those who would like to drive a car from

McLaren’s fleet as well as owner experiences for those customers who

would prefer to drive their own car.

Each core European event will also be the stage for a round of the 2019

Pure McLaren GT Series, bringing the adrenaline of motorsports to an

already exciting weekend of track action.

The Pure McLaren 2019 calendar features some of the best circuits in Europe, the

incredible Bahrain International Circuit and legendary North American locations.

The Pure McLaren GT Series is incorporated into the five core European rounds

and Bahrain with testing, practice, qualifying and races.

Pure McLaren Experience Getting you on track

The Pure McLaren Experience is designed to be your first taste of the

full potential of McLaren cars on a race circuit.

These half-day sessions are the perfect introduction to McLaren,

featuring one-to-one tuition from our team of highly experienced

McLaren Driver Coaches.

Course duration – 0.5 days Availability at each round – Day 3 or 4

The Pure McLaren Experience includes:

• Vehicle: 570S / 600LT / 720S

• 3 x 20-minute one-to-one tuition sessions with McLaren Driver Coach

• VIP hospitality including lunch and refreshments

Owner Track Day – Road Car Your car, your challenge

The race track is the natural environment in which to push your McLaren to its

limits, giving you a chance to enjoy the breadth of dynamic abilities that makes all

our cars so special. Aimed at existing McLaren drivers who want to experience the

thrill of track driving, it’s also a great way to socialise with fellow McLaren Owners.

Course duration – 1 day Availability at each round – Day 3 or 4

The Owner Track Day – Road Car programme includes:

• 1 day on circuit

• 1 x 20-minute one-to-one tuition session with McLaren Driver Coach

• VIP hospitality throughout


Upgrade to Owner Track Day – Road Car Plus for the following extras: • 1 night accommodation (night before track day)

• Dinner with McLaren

• Transfers between hotel and circuit

• Additional 20-minute one-to-one tuition session with McLaren Driver Coach

Owner Track Day – Track Car A race apart

This fully inclusive programme for owners of a McLaren track car covers

Driver Coach. Away from the circuit we take care of all your arrangements

Performance Academy Unlock your potential

The Performance Academy is designed to hone your driving skills and help you

get the maximum from circuit driving. Our highly experienced McLaren Driver

Coaches can teach you everything from the basics of track driving to

the advanced skills required to progress into motorsport.

Our courses are carefully graded to help drivers with different experience

levels, from those who have never driven on a circuit before to experienced

drivers looking to acquire their racing licence.

The Performance Academy is split into two sections with drivers encouraged

to progress on to the next course as they hone their abilities:

Track – using the road-going Sports and Super Series models, track level

courses cater for those whose first time it is on track through to experienced

track drivers.

Race – offering a taste of motorsport in the track-only McLaren 570S GT4,

race level courses take customers from their first track car experience to

obtaining a racing licence.

All Performance Academy courses include one-to-one coaching and at the

higher levels your coach will use VBOX video analysis and telemetry to ensure

you reach your full potential as a McLaren driver.

Performance Academy - Track Level Own Car New for 2019

This course is designed for those guests that would like to benefit from the

in depth training that the Performance Academy offers but in the familiar

surroundings of their own car. It is especially useful for customers that own

a McLaren that is not part of the Performance Academy fleet, such as the

McLaren Senna or 675LT.

Course duration – 1 day & 1 night Availability at each round – Day 3 or 4

The Performance Academy Track Level Own Car programme includes:

• 1 day on circuit • Classroom training

• One-to-one coaching all day with McLaren Driver Coach


• Video analysis and telemetry sessions


• Usage of McLaren Vbox system

Motorsport is the ultimate dream for many, and the Pure McLaren

Competition Level takes you one step closer to international racing.

Over three days, you will gain real-life racing experience across six

races as well as in-depth theory instruction on race craft and strategy.

Successful completion of Pure McLaren Competition Level will give you

the licence required to compete in the Pure McLaren GT Series.

Pure McLaren GT Series Next stop: the grid

The Pure McLaren GT Series is the FIA sanctioned international one-make

racing championship based around the astonishing McLaren 570S GT4.

The series provides McLaren owners with the opportunity to take their first

steps into racing in a familiar and friendly environment. Supported each

step of the way by our team of motorsport experts, drivers will benefit from

unprecedented access to over five decades of racing know-how.

An optional ‘arrive and drive’ package is offered, where cars can be maintained

and run by McLaren engineers and technicians. Rental packages are also

available for those who don’t yet own a 570S GT4.

The 2019 series will be incorporated into the five European rounds of the

Pure McLaren programme, with the sixth and final weekend of the

championship taking place in Bahrain in November.

Those joining for other track programmes across the weekend will have

the opportunity to get involved across race weekends and cheer on the

competitors.

control whilst driving your McLaren.

Customers who take part in a Pure McLaren course using their own car can

pre-order tyres from Pirelli before any Pure McLaren event, to be fitted free

of charge at the track during the safety inspection.
