Class feedback of my first Pepsi Max draft In general the majority of the class feed backed that the advert was too long and dragged on; they come to conclusion that it is enough for a series of 3 adverts instead of just one advert so it was mandatory that I edit down the advert with just the best scene out of the three. The class and teacher favored the first scene the most as they said it was the strongest successful clip with minimum errors in comparison to the other two as the other two had a number of audio errors, transition errors and a few camera angle errors. The graphic match they particular liked how it transitioned onto the other scenes however it was not carried onto the third scene so I am going to have to remove both 2 and 3 scenes in conclusion no matter how much I liked how the graphic match worked. The students in my class liked the variation of shots as well as the different narratives to attract different target audiences something I wanted my advert to do in combination with the editing. My editing showed a good use of time and space however they noticed a few shots out of focus, mainly in scenes 2 and 3. In conclusion, the advice gathered from peers and teacher is taking out scenes 2 and 3 and focus editing on scene 1 and 4 and sort out all the audio levels and issues that fall in those scenes, I also need to do a voice over for my last still image of the ad and then my final draft will be ready to be shown. However I still wanted to gather feedback from my target audience and see what they preferred in order for me to make a confident decision with what scene(s) I am going to trim. Class feedback of my first Pepsi Max draft

In general the majority of the class feed backed that the advert was too long and dragged on; they come to conclusion that it is enough for a series of 3 adverts instead of just one advert so it was mandatory that I edit down the advert with just the best scene out of the three.

Questionnaire feedback from my first Pepsi Max draft

I have linked the advert and questionnaire on social networking sites leaving participants to choose whether to answer the questionnaire or not, I have also recommended friends and family members to participate in this questionnaire, however all of the results were voluntary. Quantitative responses:

Question 1: From the scale of 1-10, how much did you understand the narrative?

Evaluation – All of participants

understood the narrative clearly, 96% understood it more clear then 4% others however no one did not understand it at all.

Question 2 and 6: Did you enjoy this advert? And did this advert make you laugh?

Evaluation: 100% of all participants enjoyed the advert and it made them laugh suggesting humor persuasive strategy worked.

Question 4: What do you think could improve my advert? Evaluation: 92% of participants thought timing was too long and there are too many scenes for an advert, 4% of participants thought the narrative was not very clear whilst 4% didn’t know. This suggests to me I definitely need to trim the advert down.

Question 5: There are three overall scenes in this advert which one did you enjoy most? Evaluation: 100% of participants preferred the dining room scene then the other scenes, this shows to me the dining room scene is the scene I am going to put forward in my final cut.

Question 7: If so, what made it funny?

Page 3: questionnaire feedback and class

Evaluation: 91% of participants liked the idea of burping whilst 83% liked it better with the sound tracks. 9% of participants liked the cheesy acting more, this suggests the idea of burping and inversion works.

Question 8: What is your gender? Evaluation: 61% of males answered the questionnaire more voluntarily, whilst only 39% of females answered it voluntarily, this suggests that my attempt in making males more attracted to the product due to Pepsi’s demographics being aimed at women worked as more males voluntarily chose to answer the questionnaire.

Question 9: What age range do you fall in? Evaluation: Advert seems to attract teenagers more 43% teenagers answered the questionnaire, then it attracted children under 12 more 35% then 21 and above 22% this suggests that the advert mainly attracts teenagers and children more then adults however adults still enjoy the advert just not as much.

Question 10: Does this advert make you want to buy or try Pepsi max?Evaluation: 100% of participants wanted to buy the product after the advert which means my aim to make it appealable to all target audiences worked

Page 4: questionnaire feedback and class

Question 11: From a scale of 1 to 10 how much has this advert made Pepsi max appeal to you and influenced you?Evaluation: Overall my advert has made Pepsi max appeal to my target audience which was everyone 90% of participants clearly understand its influenced them whilst 10% see it but are not as sure

Qualitative responsesI have also gathered qualitative responses in my questionnaire to get the most possible feedback from my target audiences, this which allows me to get individual opinions on my advert as well.

Follow up from question 2: Did you personally enjoy this advert?Question 3: If you did or did not, why? Evaluation: Overall, I achieved in creating humor from my first draft, as everyone liked it and thought it was funny. They also criticized the length of the advert and how many scenes are in one advert, as they got confused watching the advert.

Follow up from question 11: from a scale of 1 – 10 how much has this advert made Pepsi Max appeal to you and influenced you?Question 12: Why you have chosen this rating on how much this adverts influenced or appealed to youEvaluation: Overall, majority of comments have said they liked how the fun sides of drinking Pepsi max such as burping which is considered a taboo has made it an enjoyable thing, and they all agreed that the humor triggered them to buy the product or if not grab another can and drink for taste and to burp.
