NOTEThe product version is the version of the software of the product to which the document corresponds. Youcan view the version number of the product by using the display version command after logging in to thedevice.Before applying for the documentation, you must know its version. Otherwise, the document obtained maybe different from the device that you use.

The title page contains the following information:l Product model: indicates the product model corresponding to the document, as shown in

Figure 4-1, the product model is "Quidway S9300" and the product type is "Terabit RoutingSwitch."

l Product version: indicates the version of the document. If this document applies to severalversions of a product, the version numbers are separated by ampersand (&). As shown inFigure 4-1, the product version is "V100R002C00".For details on the product version, see Product Version of the Preface, as shown in Figure4-2.

l Document version: indicates the number of times the document of this version is released.When the document is released for the first time, the release number is "01". Every timethe version of a product document is upgraded, the release number increases by one. Forexample, the document version shown in Figure 4-1 is released for the first time, the releasenumber changes from "01" to "02" when the document is updated the next time.

l Release date: indicates the date when the documents are released in public, as shown inFigure 4-1, the release date is 2009-08-15.
