Celebrations Without Treats – When Food can Cause Harm

While we all enjoy sharing and celebrating our traditions with food and treats we

encourage our families not to bring cakes (birthday cakes, cupcakes, etc.) into

the school. With a large number of children with medical allergies all baked

goods must be professionally designated as “nut free” to be enjoyed at school.

We don’t want to take away from the fun of a celebration, but our first

priority is safety.

If a student with a severe nut allergy comes into contact with residue from a nut

product by simply touching a desk, a water fountain or any other surface even

outside their classroom his/her life could be in danger. This consideration is

not just as we head into a holiday season but for the entire school year.

If you have any questions regarding this support in keeping our children safe

from allergic reactions please feel free to contact Mrs. Craig, VP.

Please note the early dismissal on Thursday, December 19th – 1:45 p.m.

Children Learn What They Live

If children live with hostility,

they learn to fight.

If children live with ridicule,

they learn to be shy.

If children live with tolerance,

they learn to be patient.

If children live with encouragement,

they learn confidence.

If children live with praise,

they learn to appreciate.

If children live with fairness,

they learn justice.

If children live with security,

they learn faith.

If children live with approval,

they learn to like themselves.

If children live with acceptance, and

friendship, they learn to find love in

the world.
