To make hands-on teaching affordable,RAFT partners with thousands of companies to collect surplus materials that are re-purposed into project supplies and hands-on education kits. RAFT has collected over one million cubic feetof materials that would otherwise havebeen disposed of in landfills. A certified“green” organization, RAFT is

committed to preserving theenvironment.

To inspireteachers, RAFThas createdhundreds ofhands-onidea sheets andactivity kits that aremapped to required cur-riculum standards. RAFT kitsare assembled with the help ofcorporate and community volunteers,who donate over 30,000 hours each year.
