CORROSION PROTECTIONAL-KO AMC Chassis have galvanised chassis members. The welded chassis flange connection is wax injected to ensure longevity.

LARGER VEHICLE MASSThe AL-KO AMC Chassis enables a total of 12 wheelbase variations and 3 different track widths. This ensures sufficient space for your specified body.

SLEEK, LOW LINE FRAMEUp to 220mm lower than the original frame, AMC enables manufacturers to create more spacious and flexible single and tandem axle vehicles. Additional storage areas can be

designed into the space - and cables, pipes and water tanks can also be concealed neatly within.

WIDE GAUGE CHASSISThe wide gauge chassis and the resulting wider spring

track provides additional performance optimisation and ensures optimum driving safety and comfort.

INCREASED PAYLOADA gross vehicle weight of 3,850 or 4,500 kg ensures higher achievable payloads. The proven AL-KO lightweight chassis design saves additional weight in comparison with the original vehicle chassis.

AL-KO TRAILING LINK AXLE WITH TORSION BAR SUSPENSION AL-KO TORSION BAR SUSPENSION The well positioned torsion bar suspension axle provides balanced weight distribution and improves the drive axle traction. TRAILING LINK AXLE Together with independent suspension, the AL-KO trailing link axle with torsion bar suspension provides superior comfort and safety:

AL-KO’s success story began in 1931, when Alois Kober founded a blacksmith’s in Kotz, Southern Germany. Handbrakes were manufactured in series production as early as 1952, and AL-KO also first tested the overrun braking device.

Air TopAir Plus

Air Top provides an additional air suspension system for the rear axle of the original base vehicle. The system increases roll stability, and improved driving comfort through a manual, external air supply. Independent, manual level control for the left or right wheel is supplied through a dual circuit system and Air Top suspension is entirely maintenance free.

SYSTEM DESCRIPTION An AL-KO dealer can fit two air bellows on the original base vehicle (e.g. Fiat Ducato X250), between the leaf spring and the chassis frame. These are connected to the dual pressure gauge which can be located in the driver‘s cab or near the rear wheel (for easy access.

ASSEMBLY Can be fitted to the following base vehicles:- FIAT Ducato- PEUGEOT Boxer - CITROËN RelayFitting is possible by AL-KO dealers as original equipment or as a retrofit option on chassis, flat beds and box bodies.

Dynamic differences in axle loads will not trigger the regulation process as they occur below the response time of the electronic system.

To ensure equal distance between chassis and road, four level sensors constantly measure spring movement and evaluate it electronically.

With the ignition on, the drive height is automatically adjusted between the front and back axle, according to factory setting.

This occurs independently from the load level.

Example:

1. Measuring / calculation: The measured loading height is 400mm. The max. allowable ramp slope C of 30% is applied.

Formula: L = 400 x 100 = 1333 mm (L = min. length of the ramp).

2. Calculate the length of the ramp you require by using the formula above. Determine which version of ramp is suitable for your application.

3. Using the wheel base and weight data for your vehicle, determine which weight range is required.

4. Calculate the suitability of the range by taking the load height of your application and deduct the depth of the ramp (D) as shown in the table.

5. As long as this figure is less than the Maximum Load Height as shown in the table, the ramp is suitable for your application.
