It’s a formula that has allowed them to grow.From their irst retail location at North Vancouver’s Capilano Mall, Lugaro has expanded

to locations in Burnaby and Victoria and recentlymoved their North Shore location to a larger location at Park Royal.

As the business grew, Lugaro moved their manufacturing operation from North Vancouver to alarger location in Burnaby and added a distribution centre in Hong Kong.

The irst design group to embrace diamonds fromthe Canadian arctic, today Lugaro is the largestmanufacturer of Canadian diamond jewellery. “Ultimately Lugaro can control its own destiny,”says Agopian, “by economically creating and manufacturing world class jewellery without relyingon outside suppliers. Basically we are our ownsupplier.”

With their design and manufacturing businessgoing strong, they still wholesale their productsto other jewellers across Canada and the UnitedStates. “This places us as close to the industrysupply chain as possible. You bene it from themost current styles we produce and get them atmanufacturer's direct prices. As we purchase entire productions of Canadian diamonds, thisalso drives us to create diamond jewellery inwide ranges of styles and prices in order to getthe most out of our purchase. It’s like buying alarge acreage of land and making sure you use itin the most pro itable, aesthetically pleasing andenvironmentally bene icial manner.”

The extra room at their Park Royal location hasallowed them to augment their product rangewith carefully selected high end products. Theyare currently home to the largest Rolex boutiquecorner in Canada and their watch buyer, Sassan

Pourfar, is one of only three fully trained andquali ied Omega watch ambassadors in NorthAmerica.
