Real story about domestic violence happened in Romania

She was born into a very poor family and , consequently, her parents decided to send her to an orphanage, as they could not afford to grow another child. She opened her eyes and saw an ugly world around her. But she knew since the beginning that she had to fight in order to live.So, she started to work hard ever since she was a child. She cleaned, swept the floors, painted the walls of the orphan home and, eventually, she was sent to clean other people's homes, too. She was getting better and better in what she did.When she was 18, a lawyer took her to live in her house and she was happy, because she felt like in a family. She kept the house clean and cosy, she was allowed to work for other people, too, so she made money for herself.But, at a moment, she met a man and she fell in love. She did not realize he liked to drink, because she had not had such experiences before. He had a home, she could have a real family, and that was more than she had ever dreamt about.Anyway, they got married and she went to live with him and with his mother, in a village. She took great care of both of them. The house changed, too. It was always clean an cosy. She kept on working for other families, so she made enough money for a decent living. But her husband, who did not have a permanent job, started to try to gain control over her. He often got drunk and molested her. The rows often escalated from threats and verbal abuse to violence.After her mother-in-law's death, things worsened. When he got drunk, he got irritated too. She felt helpless and alone then, but she was still happy to have a home like everybody else.One evening, she was in the kitchen cooking something for dinner. She was chopping some vegetables when her husband burst into the room. Nevertheless, she was used to that kind of scenes. But he started to call her things like handicapped and stupid. Then he attacked her. She tried to defend and stabbed him by mistake, more or less! He started to bleed, so she called the ambulance. They went to hospital and the doctors reported the case to the police.Now she is in prison far away from home. She is waiting to be liberated. Her husband is lost. He has realized that life without her is extremely difficult. From time to time, he calls on her and he tells her about his problems. They are both waiting to get together again.The question is: Who abused who?
