Receiving feedback from target audience on draft magazineI made my draft magazine, which consisted of a cover page, contentpage and double page spread using Photoshop. All photos areoriginal, genuine and taken by me, I am also the author of the smallarticle about my made up band called Chemical Praise. I based the

styling and colour pallets of my magazine on Classic Rock magazine.I received a wide variety of feedback. I received both complementsand constructive criticism in the form of !hat ent ell" and#$I !#ven $etter If". $oth will help to develop my magazine byshowing me what can stay and what needs improving.$elow are comments from my target audience%

&he feedback I received from 'razer $urbery was fairly positive andsupportive of the creation of my draft magazine( )anctuary. Ireceived criticism, which I agree with and will change when I startcreating my *nal piece. 'razer commented on all three elements ofmy magazine. +n the cover he thought that the large mastheadand sub headings were styled well and were positioned andstructured well. &he only criticism I received for my front cover wasthat I could possible change the font for the subheadings in order todierentiate it from the masthead and draw people to the dierent

fonts used. I will consider this for my *nal magazine design. 'razerthought the content page was a success as I used the same fontstyle and liked the picture I show. -is only criticism was that I shouldfollow my cover page style through keeping with the blackbackground. 'razer continued to comment on my double pagespread where he stated that the magazine continues with aconsistent theme and he liked the pictures of the band members.-is criticism is that I should line up all my images, should readdressmy colour choices and lining dierent aspects of the magazinetogether. 'razers criticism has helped me see the faults in my

magazine, which I will act on in order to, produce a more successful*nal magazine.

I also received feedback from Angel /ewing% -all. Angel thoughtthat my cover page had a good colour selection and a large boldmasthead. Im glad the colours and large masthead was noticed as Iindented it to draw my audience is which I have achieved. -ercriticism of my cover page is that I need to improve my images byremoving the emphasis of the shadows and my chosen eects forthe picture that were added later on Photoshop. Angel made thesame compliment on my cover page that my headings are bold andthe colour pallets work well, her improvements for my cover pagewas that again I need to rethink my image choices and style.

&hrough both criticisms I will de*antly retake my photographs andre%edit them. 'or my double page spread Angel through that thecolour palette was good and consistent throughout my magazineand that the images were positioned well. -er only criticism for mydouble page spread was the font for my article. &o improve I wille0plore a wide range of dierent font styles. Angels criticism hashelped me to identify faults in my magazine that I will act on inorder to create a more successful *nal magazine.

&aylor Clark also left helpful feedback that was bene*cial. &aylorthought that my bold headings and sharp bo0es worked well on mycover page but to improve I need to improve the lighting in mypicture. I agree with this criticism and it has occurred on otherpeople feedback. I will de*antly act on this advice. In regards to the

conte0t page and double page spread &aylor thought I included agood amount of information in both. -owever she criticised my

choice of colours and the lining up of the aspects on both myconte0t page and double page spread. I will take all criticisms into

account and try dierent layouts and colour styles to improve.

1eah 2ilner left detailed feedback in which I mostly agree with. 1eahthrough the image and colour choice went well and matched mygenre on my cover page but too improve I could make the mastheadslightly bigger to stand out more. I want to create a bold andsticking brand where the masthead is dominant in contrast withother aspects on my cover page so I will de*antly rethink the sizingof my masthead. +n my contents and double page spread, 1eahthought the styling of the images worked well and that I continued

my magazine theme and genre well. &o improve I need to rethinkthe white background on my content page as it doesnt match up tomy other pages. &o improve my double page spread 1eah suggestedputting my article in columns rather then paragraphs. I willde*antly change this, as I want my magazine to look more formaland professional.

-arry Pattison also left feedback on my magazine. -arry thought mymagazine front cover, content and double page spread were all welle0ecuted due to my image choices and the use of mise en scene Ichose. -e also liked the layout of my cover page. &o improve mycover page -arry suggested using a darker red. -owever I disagreewith this criticism, as I want a bold and sharp red to catch myaudiences attention. &he white background of my content page hasagain been criticised. I will de*antly rethink the colour of mybackground. -arrys one criticism for my double page spread is touse a dierent font. I will have a look at dierent font style to

improve my magazine.
