We are a trading company of Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service and all income generated by Red One is used for the specific purpose of maintaining and improving the ongoing safety of our local community and firefighters.
Our product and service offer includes industrial firefighting, maritime firefighting training and specialist safety provision for working at height, confined space or water rescue.
Red One has access to more than 200 fire fighters, instructors, trainers and consultants, fully trained to UK national firefighting standards, ready, willing and able to provide your business with expert knowledge and flexible crewing on short, medium or long term projects anywhere in the world.

Accredited trainingTraining Academy
Our Training Academy provides the highest quality training and competence management solutions, training both commercial clients and many of the UK’s Fire & Rescue Service staff.
The Training Academy consists of several ‘schools’ including:

Managed contract servicesStandby emergency teams
We offer highly trained and experienced standby rescue teams available for contract work to help to ensure a safe working environment for your staff, and to help you meet your legislative obligations under such statutes as the Work at Height Regulations 2004 and Confined Space Regulations 1997. We also provide standby rescue boat teams for construction or project work that has a specific water risk.
Through our Training Academy we can also provide training to enable you to provide this type of standby cover for yourself if required.
On-site industrial fire and rescue teams
Red One also provides cost-effective, on-site industrial fire and rescue teams on a contractual basis. We offer the advantage of a locally based support and maintenance framework which allows us to provide an extremely efficient service, provide local, cost-effective training and competence management, and to react quickly to maintenance and HR issues as they arise.
Leadership & Incident Management & ControlMajor Incident Plan testing & exercising
With our core experience in major incident management and control, Red One is able to assist with major incident scenario exercising and plan testing.
We provide bespoke scenario based exercises, in either practical or table top forms, and can help you test your plans at operational, tactical and strategic levels. We work with you to make sure that your objectives are met and developmental needs are identified.
