Red River Longhorn Sale - 2013

Welcome to the Red River Longhorn Sale. What started eight years ago as the Lazy L RanchSale and Social (hosted by Larry Stewart), later evolved into the Three Amigos Sale (Hosted by Buck Adams,

Larry Stewart and Bob Loomis). We have now evolved into the Red River Longhorn Sale. Our hosts that made our sale a reality are: Buck & Sharon Adams, Rick & Tracey Friedrich, Justin & Julie Hansen, Frank & Michelle Hevrdejs and Bob & Pam Loomis.

This year our consignments came from our five hosts, as well as 20 top breeders. We welcome Don Green (auctioneer) and Dale Hunt (pedigree reader) into our sale to sell 17 heifer lots on Friday night at the Loomis Ranch and 67 cattle lots on Saturday at the Red River Sale Barn. The Friday night sale will include cock-tails and a meal. Larry Stewart named his original event a sale and a ranch social. We plan to keep both those original events alive and hope that you plan to join us.

Our hosts have donated 5 semen lots from some of the great bulls in our industry to be sold throughout the sale (as consignment numbers H-1, H-11, 10, 30 and 40) with the net proceeds going to support three of the Longhorn associations. The monies from these donation lots will be divided evenly and donated to the ITLA, TLBAA and the TLMA. We have also paid for advertising our sale to these 3 associations. By do-ing so, we are supporting our Industry and greasing the wheels that make it roll.
