The digital regulator revi 350 is intended for amplitude regulation of vibratory motion of bowl and linear feeders with the me-chanical system tuned up to the frequency 100Hz (or 50Hz). Thus by control of the vibrations amplitude we can regulate the feed speed of the transported material. Outer influences : AA5, the non-mentioned outer influences are in accordance with the article 512.2.4 CSN 332000-5-51 normal

Protection from dangerous contact : by self-acting disconnection from source according to CSN 332000-4-41

Type of regulation : phase control Sensors of maximum and minimum : PNP, fed by 24V DC/max. 20mA Disturbance elimination : Class B ( after EN 55011) Remote control (basic type) : galvanic separated 24V DC/10mA UL < 8V , UH > 12V for modification /S : galvanic separated, 24V AC/10mA UL < 8V , UH > 12V Dimension : 100x160x60 mm Mass : 1,0 kg

Modification: /S … remote control by means of the voltage 24V AC, galvanic separated 24V AC/10mA; UL < 8V, UH > 12V /K … connector for feeder connecting Description This regulator makes the continuous regulating of mechanical vibrations amplitude of vibrato-ry feeders with the possibility of smooth run-up and slowing down setting possible. It is pos-sible to connect one or two sensors of stock level on the vibratory feeder output in order to switch on (at minimum stock level) or switch off (at maximum stock level) the vibrations auto-matically, or it is possible to control the switching on/off by means of the remote control using the logic signal 24V DC. The vibrations amplitude can be adjusted by external analogous signal 0-10V or 0-20mA. All regulator setting is stored after the setting procedure in the internal memory EEPROM. Fixing of the regulator The unit is fixed by the help of two screws M4 in the box corners. The fixative holes are accessible under the deck.

STOP ! It denotes significant points or more detailed explanation.

INFORMATION It denotes information and recommendation for the productive running and attendance of the equipment.

WARNING Connection of the vibratory feeder

Only a workman with the appropriate electrotechnical qualification is allowed to carry out the regulator interconnection and connection of the vibratory feeder to the regulator. Prior to connection make sure that:

- the vibratory feeder coil is intended for the supply voltage 230V AC and whether the coil nominal current is at the most 4A or lower

- the vibratory feeder is intended for the working frequency 100Hz or 50Hz. At the production all regulators are set to 50Hz.

Provided the regulator is set to 100Hz then there is necessary to readjust the jumper J4 (see “The output frequency choice”)

The supply voltage 230V AC is to be connected to the terminals X1:L,N and the terminal X1:PE to the net protective conductor PE. Connect the coil winding to the terminals X2:A1, A2 and interconnect the vibratory feeder protective conductor to the terminal X2:PE. Provided the lead-wire from regulator to vibratory feeder is longer than 1 m it is recommended to use the shielded lead-wire in order to prevent exceeding the permissible interference level. Another terminals of the terminal box X3 are intended for connection of remote control and sensors.

DANGER Prior to removing of the regulator upper cover make always sure the regulator supply

lead is disconnected from mains! The inner circuits are galvanic connected with mains during operation! Regulator connection scheme:

Setting in operation After connecting of vibratory feeder to the controller (see above) by a trained electrician

check if the switch on the controller is off and insert the plug in the socket (230V). Switch the controller on. The green lamp inside the switch is on and on the display appears the information of the preset feed speed of the vibratory feeder..

Setting of regulator parameters: The switching over among presentment of single parameters takes place after a short

keystroke ENTER. The keys ▲,▼ make the change of the just now presented parameter pos-sible. The change of the presented parameter we carry out in the following manner:

• we depress shortly one of the keys ▲,▼ • the segment of the displayed parameter being set starts to blink • by short depressing of the keys ▲,▼ it is possible to go over to the adjacent segment

for the sake of the faster setting • by holding of the key ▲ the upward change and by holding of the key ▼ the downward

change of the parameter takes place Provided a change of the parameter takes place and we want to store this parameter in the regulator internal memory then we operate the key ENTER and hold it depressed for the time period longer than 1 sec until on the display the message appears. Now after depressing either of keys ▲ and ▼ the set value of the parameter in question is stored in the internal me-mory EEPROM. In the case we don’t intend to store this parameter then we go back to the presentment of the parameter when operating the key ENTER. After regulator switching on to the mains all parameters are set to values stored in the internal memory EEPROM. There is possible to pre-set the following regulator parameters:

the vibrations amplitude of the vibratory feeder (feeding speed) 0 ÷ 99.9% (within the range between the pre-set upper and lower limit) the upper limit of the vibrations amplitude of the vibratory feeder (feeding

speed) 0 ÷ 90.0% (but it must be higher than the lower limit „L“); we set it with the vibrations maximum amplitude A99.9%. It is necessary to set it so that with decreasing of this limit an already de-creasing of the vibrations amplitude of the vibratory feeder would be noticeable.

the lower limit of the vibrations amplitude of the vibratory feeder (feeding speed) 20 ÷ 90.0%

(but it must be lower than the upper limit „H“)

run-up time after switching on 0 ÷ 5.0s

slowing down time after switching off 0 ÷ 5.0s

switching off delay time after shading of the maximum parts supply sensor (S1) on the vibratory feeder output 0 ÷ 5.0s

Note: When running with one sensor (S1) only the function remains unchanged.

switching on delay time of the minimum parts supply sensor (S2) on the vibra- tory feeder output 0 ÷ 5.0s after shading termination

Page 7: Regulator for vibratory feeder revi 350 - EVAS · is intended for amplitude regulation of vibratory motion of bowl and linear feeders with the me-chanical system tuned up to the frequency

Note: When running with one sensor (S1) only it is the switching off delay time after shading of the sensor (S1).

The choice of the manner of the vibratory feeder vibrations amplitude setting

Setting by means of keys ▲ or ▼ below the display

External control by voltage signal 0 ÷ 10V

External control by current signal 0 ÷ 20mA

This parameter is accessible only with the foregoing parameter pre-set for

setting of the remote control manner by voltage or current signal. The parameter makes it possible to set the amplitude level in % (set by the external signal) at achieving of which the switching off takes place (for the value < than the pre-set one) and switching on again (for the value > than the pre-set one). With the parameter set to 00.0% no switching off occurs. Setting of the sensor (S1) of maximum (after shading it switches the vibrations

off)

the sensor switched off

the sensor switched on, the function NC (the sensor opens when shaded)

the sensor switched on, the function NO (the sensor makes

contact when shaded)

Setting of the sensor (S2) of minimum (after shading termination it switches the

vibrations on)

the sensor switched off

the sensor switched on, the function NC (the sensor opens when shaded)

the sensor switched on, the function NO (the sensor makes contact when shaded))

Note: When running with one sensor only then the sensor (S1) for the function of switching

vibrations on/off is used and the sensor (S2) of minimum must be switched off!

Failures In the case of the failure entrust always the workman with special electrotechnical

qualification with the repair. The reasons of failures:

1) The switch is on and green lamp inside the switch is off: In the socket isn’t electricity or lead-in cable is broken. 2) The switch is on and green lamp inside the switch is lightning, but the vibratory

feeder doesn’t vibrate even after maximum amplitude setting: a) fault in regulator circuits occurred

b) switching off by sensor took place (check the sensors setting, eventually verify the regulator function with sensors switched off (see the regulator setting)

c) switching off by remote control occurred d) vibratory feeder lead-in cable or coil winding is broken

3) The switch is on and green lamp inside the switch is lightning, but the vibratory feeder does vibrate even after maximum amplitude setting insufficiently:

a) too low upper limit setting (see the regulator setting) b) fault in the magnetic drive circuit of the vibrating system

4) The switch is on and green lamp inside the switch is lightning, but the vibratory feeder does vibrate even after minimum amplitude setting exceedingly:

a) too high lower limit setting (see the regulator setting) b) fault in the regulator circuits occurred Maintenance The regulator doesn’t require any maintenance.
