In this screen shot it is to show how to use the source monitor to edit the videos. This pane is to cut the

videos so there would be the starting markers which would be pressed where the video should be started

and the end mark which would be pressed to mark the end of the video that would be cut. In order to paste

the video into the timeline just drag the video into the timeline and chose where it should go or just click the

second last or third to last button on the source monitor. TO edit the video n the timeline and not wanting

the video to move or shorter further from the rest of the videos is by pressing the CTRL and pointer would

turn yellow and that would allow you to drag the videos length.

In order to create a new sequence just click on any random video and drag that onto the second icon from

the bottom right moving left. After that is done a new sequence in the time line will show and so will there

be a new icon of a sequence in the project panel, in order to rename the sequence just click on the name of

the sequence in the project panel (click once and the name should be changeable). In that new sequence

there should be a video of the random video that was picked, if it isnt neededjust click on it and delete it.

The project panel would look better if the new sequence in the project panel was separated from the folder

just drag it out of it.

Episode Three-Point and Four-point Edits: Screen shot #1

Introducing the three point edits point one is the start marker and the second is the end marker and the

third is in the timeline where the video is placed after the edit. This could be done in a cheating way by

using the play head to be at the position where the in part of the video would be placed and then clicking

insert in the source monitor. But a proper three point edit would be by placing the play head where it

wants to go and then clicking on the I key which would create an in mark in the timeline and that would be

where the video would enter when clicking on insert in the source monitor.

Episode Three-Point and Four-point Edits: Screen shot #2

This screenshot shows that instead of using the I as the in marker in the timeline and it would mark where

the start of the video should be this is using the end marker where the video would indicates the end of the

video should be placed. This is added by hovering the play header at where the end should be and in theproject monitor (top right) click on the end mark which is circled red.

Episode Three-Point and Four-point Edits: Screen shot #3

There is another edit of adding videos into the timeline called the reverse Three-point edit where I must

be on the time line and mark out the in-mark and the out-mark of the video and that blue area highlighted

will be marked on the timeline. That highlighted part is the part that the video clip will fit into that is why

you only need to mark only the in-point that the video will start playing at (delete the original in and out

points by doing CTRL+SHIFT+X). Then click the overwrite button that is circled and the video will fit into the

highlighted area (so the end mark will automatically mark out where the clip should end, but the start will be

Episode Three-Point and Four-point Edits: Screen shot #4

A four point edit is where there are four points selected; two in the timeline and two in the source monitor.

But the dialog box (like above) would come up if the frames are not fit for each other. The timeline duration

gives 6:01 and the source monitor gives 4:11 which means that the frames dont match, so the dialog boxcomes up and gives choices of what to do with the clip so then the most logical is to change the clip speed to

fit the duration in the timeline meaning that the clip would go in slow motion.

Episode trimming on the Timeline: Screen shot #1

The first way is by hovering the mouse over the beginning or end of the clip until a red arrow appears and

that will allow you to drag in to make the clip shorter, but if using the red arrow it would cause all the clips

to be where they were (not moving anything) but there would be a gap in between two clips (if clipping in

between clips so at the end of the first clip and beginning of the second one).

Episode trimming on the Timeline: Screen shot #2

Second way to trim the clip is by pressing CTRL before trimming, this would create a yellow arrow that would

trim the clip by moving the clips as well so then there wouldnt be any gaps and the videos would disappear

because the yellow arrow leads things to move around o the timeline.

    WINDOWTRIM MONITOR

This window would show full trimming in big scale. We are able to do all trimming techniques in this

window. Doing this would give you more information and details.

Episode Delete and Ripple Delete: Screen shot #1

Normal delete that is easiest but would create a gap in between the videos would be just by pressing delete

on the keyboard, but to delete without creating a gap between the videos or in other words shift the videostogether is just by adding a shift (SHIFT+DEL).

Episode Delete and Ripple Delete: Screen shot #2

In order to delete just the audio just click ALT and DELETE and that would just choose the specific things that

you wanted deleted, so to take out the audio just ALT click the audio file which is under the video line and

just delete it once it is selected.

Episode Delete and Ripple Delete: Screen shot #3

If the clips needed to be broken in two or needed to cut a big chunk out from a very large piece take the

RAZOR tool which is on the tool bar on the left side of the timeline and use that tool to cut or mark out

which ever part of the clip that is needed to be taken apart (it will automatically cut the video for you).

Episode Delete and Ripple Delete: Screen shot #3

In order to do a cut that will get all videos at once (not just one) press the SHIFT key at the same time as

using the razor tool to cut, the razor icon will become a double razor and it will cut through all media.

Another way is use the play head to cut through all media by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+K while the play head is

hovering over the area that is needed to be cut.

Fading is when the video comes in or out from black to clear video at full capacity or from full capacity

fading to black. In order to fade the video is by putting the play head at where the video should be at full

complicity and press CTRL at the same time as clicking on the yellow line (circled above) and an arrow with

a plus sign should come up and just click and it will mark the first point, Then do the same thing but with the

part where it wants to be started from black and click on the yellow line there and then just drag the firstone down and that will cause a slope, if you want to do it at the end where the video goes to black just do

the same thing but this time instead of clicking dragging the first point down, drag the second one down to

    make it fade to black.

This screen shot shows how to create a title, to do a simple text style just click on the timeline where the

text should go and click CTRL T. Then this screen should come up then click on the T (circled top left) and

then you have to click on the video where the text should go and just type away. But make sure that the

writing is within the smallest box since that is where the video may be cut off so the text will still be seen no

matter what. To change the fonts just click on any font at the bottom and it will change, the change the size

slide the size around (circled middle) and bellow it would be the spacing between the letters.

Episode Add a Simple Title, Some Fades, and Music: Screen shot #2

In order to get the shady foggy navy shade at the bottom of the text (like

    above) these are the steps.

Get the rectangular tool and make a rectangle over half of the text from

the bottom and then go the title properties column and make sure

shadow is clicked and has the same settings, then click on the fill and tick

it then on fill type choose linear gradient and then on the left square slide

the colour stop opacity to zero. On the left coloured square use the

colour stop colour (the pipette) and then choose the colour you want.

Then click on the colour stop opacity and slide it right till it gets at around90100%.

Afterwards we must move the text forward so go back to the mouse tool

and click on the text box and right click and then choose arrange and

    choose bring to front.

Episode Add a Simple Title, Some Fades, and Music: Screen shot #3

To create a bolder out lined shadow for the text you must

click on the text box and go over to title properties columnand click the tick on outer strokes. Make sure the type is

EDGEand the size is around 10 then choose the opacity

    to be at 100%.

The important part is the shadow when you click it be sure

that the opacity is around 45% and also check the distance,

make the distance 0.0 and the size and spread to 100%.

This will make sure that the word does not have a hanging

shadow but it will help make the word more clearly and

    easily seen.

Episode Add a Simple Title, Some Fades, and Music: Screen shot #4

Once the title is finish click on the X then it will disappear but it will reappear in the project panel and just

get that and drag it over to where you want it to be on the video (should be in row video 2). You can extend

it or shorten it just like a video and also add some fade in and fade outs which would be recommended

because the title should come in smoothly. All these fade in and outs are the same as the videos.

Episode Add a Simple Title, Some Fades, and Music: Screen shot #4

Now to add music into the videos, there should be a audio file in the project panel so just drag that in to

where it should be started. And then to add the effect of fading in (to create a smoother audio) just click

CTRL and choose the point that the music would fade in from and the second where it would play at full

volume. Then drag the first point down to create a slope and that is where it would fade in from.

Episode Creating and editing titles: Screen shot #1

Review of adding the title. Click on a part of the video (this is needed because in order to add the title there

must be an image at the back (the video still). Once the point is selected click CTRL+T and that would bring

up the window above. Choose the T at the top left and that would allow the editor to add in the title so just

click on any part of the video and just type whatever there is to type. Then in order to position the texts just

click the mouse key again and that would allow you to edit the text box. To change the size of the text click

on the T (circled red) and just slide it left or right to make it bigger or smaller, and to change the spacing od

each letter just click on the one bellow that T which is the AV and do the same but this time it will allow you

to change the spacing between each of the letters. To change the font or the title stylesthe choices are at

the bottom and just play around with the styles that are there.

To create more detail in the title this is all in the left column title propertieswhich will allow yo to edit the

title, other ones that are mainly used would be the Strokes (outer strokes) just click on that and add the

outer stroke and it would make the text bold and also shadow. Mostly shadow is used to highlight the textlightly, to do this just slide the distance to 0 and slide the spread and size to around 100.

Episode Add a Transition between 2 Clips: Screen shot #1

To transit between two videos it is usually just a simple straight where it goes from one video to another,

but a very popularly used transition is cross dissolve where two videos blur and merge together for a limit of

time. In order to get that transition use the play head to choose where in the end of the video you want to

transition to start into the next video. After the position is selected click CTRL+D and an automatic cross

dissolve transition will appear. To change the duration of the transition just simple hover the mouse over the

ends of the transition and drag it to make it longer or shorter. (This is just to apply the default transition)

Episode Add a Transition between 2 Clips: Screen shot #2

For the transition that isntcross dissolve there are a

ton of other transitions to choose for. This is all found

in the project panel (bottom left box) and in that panel

there is a slider bar at the top of it so slide it to the

right and the effects tab will appear. Click on effectsand a lot of other video, audio effects and transitions

will appear. This allows you to have a wide variety of

choice for the transitions and to get the transitions to

work just drag it onto the video in the timeline either in

between to clips or at the end of the clip before (this

option would cut off the end of the first clip). If there

was a transition on the timeline already and you want

to replace it with another transition just click on one

that you want to change and drag it on top of the

transition that is already there and it will automatically

replace the old transition to the new one.

Episode Add a Transition between 2 Clips: Screen shot #3

The effect control panel is in the source monitor and the transition settings will appear once you click on

the transition in the timeline. The original let side will have A and B in the slides but to see the actual video

click on SHOW ACTUAL SOURCES. This effect doesnthave much to set up but if it were other transitions

there may be more settings to the transition.

Episode Add a Transition between 2 Clips: Screen shot #4

Red line above the transition means that premier pro may not be able to

playback the clip in the smoothest form or to fullest quality, so in order for

it to be smooth you need a new preview file and that means to RENDER

the video. To RENDER the video is easy, just click ENTER and it will renderthe video and the red line will turn green!

Episode Green Screen: Screen shot #1

To create a green screen effect you need a normal background video and a video with you or anything on a

green screen. For this just add the first video which is the background video into the timeline and then get

the green screen video and add that over the first video (so that will go into video 2). In order to get the

effect to work go to the project panel and slide the slider over to the right and click on EFFECTS that will

bring up a list of effects for audio and video. Typing in ULTRA and the effect ultra-key will show and that is

the effect that you need to use. Drag that effect onto the green screen video, nothing will change yet

because this is an effect where its settings needs to be changed. For the ultra-key effect to function

properly, go to the source monitor and click on effect controls and the setting and for the ultra-key effect

will appear. Bring down the ultra-key option and choose the key colour, this is when you use the colour

dropper and click on the background of the screen (the green or pink or red etc.). Then play around with

the Matte Generation and the Matte Cleanup in order to get the right effect, also maybe you might want

to work around with the Colour Correction because that is what will help make the person seem more

    realistic.

    Episode Multi-Cam: Screen shot #1

Get the zoomed in view of the project panel by clicking the squiggly key then get the different angle shots

of the same video that you want to use then create in points that are all the same. TO do this use the J K

and L (J=backwards, L=forward and K=stop) and just hold down the K at the same time as moving the J and

L so its shot by shot and then when you have a certain shot just click I to get an in point, do this to all the

duo-audio where there may have been two microphones to record the sound. In order to edit both

separately you need to edit the channel format. This is done by right clicking the video and then choosing

modify and then more choices come up and just click audio channels. Then this window will appear:

Then in order to make separate audios (so there will be audio 1 and 2 for the same clip) where it says

channel format (if there is one audio in the video just choose stereo but if there are two then choose

MONO and there will be a source channel for right and left.
