    RELOCATION OF SHOEBURYNESS DELIVERY OFFICE TO SOUTHEND

    CONFIRMED

    Royal Mail confirms that the relocation of Shoeburyness delivery office to its mail processing unit in Southend-on-Sea will go ahead on 3 June 2013.

    This follows detailed planning and consultation with our unions and staff to ensure a smooth transition for ourpeople, our operation and our customers

    The relocation of Leigh-on-Sea delivery office to Southend-on-Sea is due to follow on 1 July 2013 The relocation of Rochford delivery office, including our deliveries for Canewdon, to Southend-on-Sea is due to

    follow on 29 July 2013 Customer collection arrangements are in place for many undelivered items at Great Wakering and Canewdon

    Post Offices

    These relocations are part of Royal Mails ongoing modernisation of its operations across the country, includinga 1.5 million investment in new machinery in Southend-on-Sea

    Our service to customers will continue to be a top priority during these operational moves Customers do not need to travel to pick up mail if they dont want to Royal Mail offers a free redelivery

    service, to customers addresses or another address in the same postcode area, six days a week
