Now I wonder whether I have sufficiently realized that during all this time God has been trying to find me, to know me, and to love me. The question is not “How am I to find God?” but “How am I to let myself be found by him?” The question is not “How am I to know God?” but “How am I to let myself be known by God?” And, finally, the question is not “How am I to love God?” but “How am I to let myself be loved by God?” God is looking into the distance for me, trying to find me, and longing to bring me home.” -- Henri J.M. Nouwen, The Return of the Prodigal Son

PARISH NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS

All Junior High and High School Students are invited to join the Youth Group during the service. We will

leave out the side of the church after the children's time.

Next week, the youth will be in the service for a special Youth Service. For more information regarding this or anything else relating to the youth group, please e-mail Graham at [email protected]. The next Community Dinner is Saturday, March 19th. Volunteer helpers are always needed and appreciated. If you’d like to help, please sign up in the parish hall or contact Sheila Moorey at [email protected]. Thank you to everyone who has already signed up!

We are also in need of travel-size shampoos (not conditioners), deodorants, shaving cream and (as always) toothbrushes and toothpaste to give to our guests. Donations can be left in the basket in the narthex.

The Knitting Group will meet next on Saturday, March 19th at

noon in the lounge. Knitters of all levels are welcome.

If you would like to give an Easter Flower as a Memorial Gift, please use the envelopes in the pews, filling in the details as you wish them to appear in our Easter leaflet. Completed envelopes can be placed on the offering plate or dropped off at the parish office. Deadline: Tuesday, March 22nd.

The Easter Bunny needs your help! Christ Church will be hosting Oliver's biggest ever neighbourhood Easter egg hunt on March 26th at 10am. Please bring donations of your favourite candy eggs to contribute to the hunt and

share with our neighbours.
