Company Overview The City of Stevens Point is launching the Resiliency Project to help implement its eco-municipality plan. By partnering with Serve Wisconsin and AmeriCorps, this project will host several AmeriCorps placements who will work along side area non-profits.Our physical headquarters will be at the Jackson School on Stevens Point’s west side, where we will also create a major new Giving Garden to grow food for households in need of fresh, healthy fruits and vegetables.

Complete LogoThe complete Resiliency Project logo embodies the two elements of the wordmark and the symbol. When the Resiliency Project symbol and wordmark are put together to create the complete logo the conceptual meaning behind it is strengthened. Still maintaining its strong, clean and simple lines the complete logo helps emphasize the idea of growth.

Page 7: Resiliency Project

07

Complete Logo Variants With a limited budget sometimes using color can be more expensive. The Resiliency Project complete logo is very strong when used in its original colors, but when necessary black and grayscale can be used and will continue to retain the same strength.

Symbol The Resiliency Project symbol is an easily identifiable graphic, which is versatile for various medium. The strong yet simple lines of the symbol are innovative, timeless, and professional. By using the resilient “R” within the circle, the symbol helps communicate the idea of sustainable growth in the community.

WordmarkUnivers is the clean, modern and strong typeface used for the Resiliency Project wordmark. The word Resiliency uses a more bold version of the typeface to put a stronger emphasis on its meaning. The wordmark may not be recreated in any other typefaces or rearranged in any other way than those provided within the graphic standards. Separating the wordmark from the symbol is allowed, but it must be suitably placed within the document.

Size & Safe Space The Resiliency Project complete logo may not be sized smaller than 1”x1.25” and the symbol may not be sized smaller than 3/8”. Safe space must be included around all complete logos and symbols. Placing the graphics too close to type or a fold/cut edge may sacrifice its legibility. A safe space of .25” is highly recommended for all materials using these graphics.

File Types Your files will be easily accessible for you. The logo is saved in three different initial files: Complete Logo and Symbol. You will then have various options for file types, which are explained below. After you choose the file type you would like to use, you can then select by color, grayscale, or black and white. You can then choose which size will best fit your document. When selecting the correct size, always remember to use an image larger than necessary and scale down rather than up because this will prevent poor resolution.

For Print.eps is a vector based format which is best for printing high resolution vector images to PostScript printers/imagesetters. .tiff is a high resolution file format for print materials..pdf is a good file for sending out print jobs if the printer doesn’t have the typefaces used. It is also beneficial because it can be viewed on any computer.

For Web.jpeg is the standard screen file for the web..png has similar qualities as .jpeg, but it allows for transparent backgrounds.

CambriaCambria was designed to be printed at small sizes and is perfect for any business documents you may need. With very even proportions and spacing, Cambria’s diagonal and vertical hairlines make this serif typeface strong. When Cambria is being used, it should not be used at any size over twenty points. Cambria is a common typeface included within Microsoft Office Programs so it will most likely be easily accessible for you. Please feel free to use Cambria regular, italic, bold, or italic bold for print.Cambria RomanCambria ObliqueCambria BoldCambria Bold Oblique

Resiliency Project TypefacesUsing the typefaces from the following list will ensure a consistent look in Resiliency Project publications.

UniversUnivers RomanUnivers Bold Adrien Frutiger designed the sans-serif typeface Univers in 1954, which is known for its clean lines and legibility at far distances. The Univers typeface consists of 44 faces, but the Resiliency Project Logo only uses two of these faces; Bold and Roman. The logotype files we have provided for you will have the Univers typeface in outlines, which will allow you to use the wordmark even if you don’t own the Univers typeface. Please only use the Univers Typeface for the logotype because if it is used in other areas of your publications it will take away from the Resiliency Project logotype.

Helvetica Max Miedinger and Eduard Hoffmann developed the sans serif typeface Helvetica in 1957. Helvetica is a clear and neutral typeface that is easily legible. Please feel free to use Helvetica regular, oblique, bold, or bold oblique for print or web publications. Helvetica RomanHelvetica ObliqueHelvetica BoldHelvetica Bold Oblique

Buttons The circular Resiliency Project symbol is versatile and can be implemented on many different types of products such as buttons. You could easily make buttons available at locations around the community for a small price, which could help raise funds and awareness for the Resiliency Project. Buttons could also be given out to donors or volunteers to show appreciation for their donation.

Stationery pages will each be sized at 8.5”x11”. For future ideas, this stationary could easily be implemented on smaller note pads or post-its.

Campaign The launch pad campaign for the Resiliency Project is Renew Restore React. This campaign will be used to get the community involved in this new project and “React” to the state of the community at this point in time. The campaign is meant to be simple, clean, and straightforward much like the identity of the Resiliency Project. The image to the left is an example of a poster which will be sized at 11”x17” when printed. As the Resiliency Project grows the “React” portion of the campaign can change, being replaced by other “Re” words to help implement other campaigns using this same idea and similar design aesthetics.

Campaign Tickets Along with the poster, “tickets” can also be created to help spread the campaign around the community. The front of each ticket will have the current campaign and the back will include the mission statement, logo, and website. These tickets could be placed at locations such as the Stevens Point Co-op and Emy Jay’s. Each ticket will be sized at 5.5”x4.25” which will allow four to fit to an 8.5”x11” page and can easily be cut in quarters.

Donation MailerThe promotional mailer can be printed as a flat, cut out and put together. Volunteers could make these or they could be sent out to a professional printer which could create a die-cut to cut them out more easily. The mailer above is an example of the flat, scaled down to sixty percent. Two mailers can fit on one 11”x17” sheet of paper. They are perfectly sized to fit cash or checks.

Funding Prospectus The Resiliency Project funding prospectus is a small informative newsletter that includes “our story”, the launch pad campaign and information on each program. It is designed to be a simple one sided print on a 12”x18” sheet of paper, which makes it less expensive. As you can see above, once printed, it would be easy for volunteers to cut and fold this funding prospectus.

Self Mailer Another optional funding prospectus is the self mailer. An 11”x17” single sided sheet of paper can be printed and folded to create a self mailing funding prospectus which includes the same information as the previous funding prospectus.
