    National Mathematics Standards comes from National Council of Teachers of

    Mathematics

    Computing Technology for Math Excellence - devoted to resources for

    The National Library of Virtual Manipulatives (NLVM) is an NSF

    supported project that began in 1999 to develop a library of uniquely interactive,

    web-based virtual manipulatives or concept tutorials, mostly in the form of Java

    applets, for mathematics instruction (K-12 emphasis); eNLVM is an extended

    project for online learning lessons.

    Wolfram MathWorld is a comprehensive list of math definitions

    WolframAlpha - its a real know-it-all, instead of sending users to

    another source for information, this computational knowledge engine answers

    questions as completely as it knows how. Its particularly good at math

    problems, since the site is built on Mathematica.

    Wolfram Education Portal (free) is a new release on Jan.18/2012 with

    all of Wolframs technologies organized by course, in the portal youll find a

    dynamic textbook, lesson plans, widgets, interactive Demonstrations, and more

    built by Wolfram education experts.

    The Ohio Resource Center for Mathematics, Science, & Reading and

    the Ohio Social Studies Resource Center are great curriculum sharing sites that

    align with state and national content standards.

    Khan Academy - Bill Gates favorite teacher, developed as a open source

    project, this 3300+ video library is a free classroom for anyone, anywhere. Now

    there are practice modules integrated with math instructional videos, also there

    are analysis tools for teachers / parents to understand students status.

    The free resources for teaching math. published by Dan Meyer include

    entire 38 week Algebra curriculum, 38 week Geometry curriculum complete

    with slides, handouts, and just about everything you need in order to deliver the

    lessons. Dan Meyers had a great TED Talk : Math Class Needs a Makeover.

    Math TV provides an extensive collection of high quality mathematics

    tutorials for 21st century classroom. Its video lessons cover basic resources for

    teaching mathematics and Algebra. Its free.

    Math Open Reference is a site that has interactive resources and

    information on different math topics, including Plane Geometry, Trigonometry,

    Coordinate and Solid Geometry, and function explorer tools; its a great resource

    for teachers and students.

    Math Pickle is the brain child of Dr. Gordon Hamilton who reminds us

    that problem solving is at the very heart of mathematics. It approaches

    mathematics from the standpoint of a problem solver instead of from the

    standpoint of a rules follower. Your will be amazed by the most beautiful math

    workbooks(like the left picture) youve ever seen, and witness why Dr. Gordon

    claimed: Beauty and mathematics are inseparable. It is for K-12 teachers. Here

    you will find curricular games, puzzles and mini-competitions for the classroom.

    Your students can do math puzzles and games online too. (the content is open

    licensed)

    Brightstorm provides online study materials for mathematics and ACT

    and SAT preparation. The ACT and SAT preparation materials are not free, but

    the mathematics tutorials are free which are videos featuring mathematics

    teachers explaining and demonstrating how to solve mathematics problems, it

    covers Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Calculus. The videos can be

    viewed on the Brightstorm site or you can embed them into your websites.

    TenMarks is an online math program that helps students refresh, learn,

    and master math conceptsin their own time, at their own pace. Each child

    receives a personalized curriculum to help them master the concepts quickly. Its

    free for educators to use the resources for teaching mathematics in

    classrooms.Teacher Zone is a free service with more than 1,000 mathematics

    tutorials videos created by Ten Marks tutors. The videos cover everything from

    basic elementary school math. through high school Algebra and Geometry skills.

    Free Math Help offers students free mathematics tutorials, which are

    available as text based lessons or narrated video lessons. Algebra, Geometry,

    Trigonometry, Calculus, and Statistics tutorials are available for free to students.

    Or students can ask questions on the message boards.

    Geogebra offers free math software including interactive graphics,

    algebra, spreadsheet and learning materials from elementary school to university

    level. Geogebrawiki is a great wiki with tons of resources for teaching geometry

    and algebra. You can find links to simulators and other manipulatives.

    Desmos is a graphing calculator based on HTML5 so its accessible on

    any device, and definitely an innovation to replace Texas Instruments expansive

    ones. You can make an account and sign in so that you can share your work and

    save it to your personal library. This means you can access your math graphs

    Five free scientific calculators - Microsoft Mathematics 4.0, encalc, web2.0calc,

    speedcrunch, graph.tk.

    Chartle is a free service to make interactive charts in web2.0 way. You

    dont need to register to use the service, you can make and publish you charts

    online and then get a URL address for your chart, you can share or embed your

    chart into your own website.

    RealWorldMath is designed for educators who wish to extend the

    concepts of the math curriculum beyond the pages of the text. Google Earth is

    the dynamic tool that will be used to accomplish this. It provides startling clear

    satellite views of the globe in an interactive 3D environment. Beyond the visual,

    users can add placemarks, annotations, photos, and models, as well as measure

    distances and draw paths.

    Maths Maps is initiated by Tom Barrett to use Google Earth (and Maps)

    as a great perspective providing easy access for our students to see rich visual

    content that depicts everyday maths. It allows teachers around the world to

    collaborate on it. The maps can be embeded into yoru own websites, and

    students can complete the tasks online or offline.

    YummyMath is a website designed for the purpose of sharing

    mathematics problems and scenarios based on things happening in the world

    today. Its created by two math teachers and licensed under creative commons.

    HelpingwithMath - The math worksheets , the printable multiplication

    tables, the math charts, the multiplication games, and other resources are

    completely free. Its an OER site.

    Visual Fractions, Conceptua Math are websites for teaching and

    learning fractions through visuals.

    Get the Math is a multimedia project about algebra in the real world.

    See how professionals working in fashion, videogame design, and music

    production use algebraic thinking.

    Harcourt Multimedia Math Glossary can help students in kindergarten

    through sixth grade understand math vocabulary. The glossary is easily searched

    by grade and alphabetic order. It is not your typical textbook glossary, it doesnt

    just define math terms, it actually shows them what it looks like. Each word and

    definition can be read aloud to students by clicking on the speaker icon next to

    the word.
