Besides, many non-sponsored research projects like on waste management, cellulase, xylanase, crop improvement of millet, technology development for banana juice etc. have been/are being undertaken.

1) Dr. Anil Kumar is the founder member of the School of Biotechnology in Devi Ahilya University.

Within few years, School of Biotechnology is having its own new building (about 11000 sq.ft.). In this period he made School of Biotechnology Nationally as well as Internationally recognized.

2) Dr. Anil Kumar is senior most Professor of Biotechnology in the entire MP.

3) Dr. Anil Kumar is officer In-charge of Bioinformatics Sub Center sponsored by the Department of

Biotechnology, Govt. of India, New Delhi.

4) Dr. Anil Kumar has published number of research papers in various reputed National and international journals. He has also produced 27 Ph.Ds. At present several Ph.D students are working under his supervision.

5) Dr. Anil Kumar and his team developed various low cost technologies.
