RITE OF EUCHARISTIC EXPOSITION,

ADORATION AND BENEDICTION

Exposition 1. After the people have assembled, the priest will put the Sacred Host inside the Monstrance. After exposition, the minister incenses the

Blessed Sacrament. The following song, intoned by the celebrant, may be sung to accompany the exposition of the Blessed Sacrament:

Hymn: O Salutaris Hostia

O salutaris Hostia,

quae coeli pandis ostium.

Bella premunt hostilia;

da robur fer auxilium.

Uni trinoque Domino

sit sempiterna Gloria:

qui vitam sine in termino,

nobis donet in patria. Amen.

2. The priest invites the people to form their line for the procession by saying the following or other suitable words:

Priest: Let us go forth in exultation and proclaim that Jesus is

3. The solemn procession of the Blessed Sacrament will start after the invitation of the minister. The congregation is encouraged to sing

during the procession the following antiphons in honor of the Blessed Sacrament

Christus Vincit (Latin)

Christus Vincit!

Christus Regnat!

Christus, Christus Imperat!

Kristong Hari (Filipino)

Kristong Hari,

Gurot Pari

Kristo, Kristo, maghari Ka!

4. The people should enter first inside the chapel, and, as they enter, they are advised to kneel. The Cross and candle bearers should wait

for the priest holding the Blessed Sacrament to enter the door of the chapel. As they reach the altar, the cross and candle bearer will

make a profound bow at the altar then go to their designated area and kneel. The servers that will remain at the altar are as follows:

censer and boat, book and microphone bearer, humeral veil bearer, Master of Ceremonies and the priest. The priest will place the

Monstrance at the altar table. The singing of the Christus Vincit, the incensation of the Blessed Sacrament by the server, as well as the

ringing of the bell ends. The priest now will intone the following hymn:

Hymn: Tantum Ergo

Tantum ergo Sacramentum,

veneremur cernui;

et antiquum documentum

novo cedat ritui;

prstet fides supplementum

sensuum defectui.

Genitori, Genitoque

laus et iubilatio;

salus, honor, virtus quoque

sit et benedictio:

procedenti ab utroque

compare sit laudatio. Amen. Amen. 5. The priest incenses the Blessed Sacrament. After the song, the following prayer is said:

Priest: You have given them bread from heaven

All: Having within it all sweetness

Priest: Let us pray.

O God,

who in this wonderful Sacrament

left us a memorial of your Passion:

grant, we implore you,

that we may so venerate

the sacred mysteries of your Body and Blood,

as always to be conscious

of the fruit of your Redemption.

You who live and reign forever and ever.

All: Amen.

Benediction 6. After the prayer, the humeral veil bearer will place the veil on the priests shoulder. The priest will genuflect and take the Mons trance.

He makes the sign of the cross over the people, with the monstrance. During the blessing the thurifer incenses the Blessed Sacrament

and the bell should be ring until the sign of the cross is completed. Afterwards the priest removes the humeral veil and, together with

the people, recites the Divine Praises:

The Divine Praises

Blessed be God.

Blessed be His Holy Name.

Blessed be Jesus Christ, true God and true man.

Blessed be the Name of Jesus.

Blessed be His most Sacred Heart.

Blessed be His most Precious Blood.

Blessed be Jesus in the most Holy Sacrament of the Altar.

Blessed be the Holy Spirit the Paraclete.

Blessed be the Great Mother of God, Mary Most Holy.

Blessed be her Holy and Immaculate Conception.

Blessed be her Glorious Assumption.

Blessed be the Name of Mary, Virgin and Mother.

Blessed be St. Joseph, her Most Chaste Spouse.

Blessed Be God in His Angels and in His Saints.

7. After the Divine Praises, the priest replaces the Blessed Sacrament in the Tabernacle and genuflects. Meanwhile the people ma y sing

the following song:
