The following are scholarships that are available to the
Class of 2018. The common application must be submitted
to the guidance office by April 9th at 2:05 pm for ALL
scholarships. Essays/supplements will be submitted to the
guidance office OR mailed directly to the organization.
Please check all scholarships for individual instructions.

A. Friends of the Raven Players- Drama Scholarship/Recognition
Award: up to three $1000.00 scholarships and up to two $500.00 scholarships
Eligibility: RHS senior planning to enroll in a college/university with a 4-year
degree program.
Cumulative GPA of 3.0+ (weighted)
Method of Application:

Complete the Friends of the Raven Players Drama Supplement
Deadline: Application must be submitted by April 9th at 2:05pm to the Guidance
Office
B. Richard Leber Memorial Scholarship
Award: $2500.00 Scholarship. Award will be made payable to the educational
institution you will be attending.
Eligibility: Student must be a US citizen.
Student will have attended RHS all 4 years and graduate in good standing with a
GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Students must write an essay demonstrating financial hardship.
Method of Application:
Complete the common application to be returned to guidance.
Deadline: Application and Essay must be submitted by April 9th at 2:05pm to
the Guidance Office
C. First Baptist Church Scholarship
Award: Two $100.00 scholarships. One for a female student and one for a male
student.
Eligibility: The award is granted to an African American graduating senior, who
will be attending a 4 year institution. The recipient must be will be willing to
attend a service at First Baptist Church
Method of Application:
Complete the common application to be returned to guidance.
Deadline: Application must be submitted by April 9th at 2:05pm to the Guidance
Office.
D. Diane E. Dwyer Memorial Scholarship
Background: This scholarship is established in memory of Ms. Diane E. Dwyer
who served as the Manager of Human Resources in the Robbinsville School
District from 2009 to 2013. Ms. Dwyer (Diane) was a consummate professional
who understood that strong relationships with people matter most. Her quiet yet
joyful spirit created a context where she was able to interact with all members of
the faculty in a way that made each feel valued and important at all times. Diane
was a woman who was guided by the values of hard work, family, and faith,
which added to a spirit that valued learning and excellence. All of these traits
made her an invaluable resource to the school community.
Award: $1,000 scholarship for one male and one female RHS senior
Eligibility: RHS senior(s) of high moral character and academic standing who
plan to attend a four-year college or university.
Method of Application:
Complete the common application to be returned to guidance.
Write a 500 word essay reflecting on the following:
a. The following quote by Betty Smith hung over Ms. Dwyer’s desk:
“Look at everything as though you were seeing it for the first time or
the last time. Then your time on earth will be filled with Glory.”
Describe an experience that you have had that captures the essence of
this quote by Betty Smith. Explain how the experience has changed
your life.
Deadline: Application and supporting essay must be submitted by April 9th at

E. The Comfort Keepers Seniors Caring for Seniors Scholarship
Award: $500.00 Scholarship
Eligibility: Looking for the student who demonstrates the most heart and compassion for our
senior population.
Student will submit an essay describing what they have done to impact the life of
a senior or a group of seniors.
Method of Application:
Complete the common application to be returned to guidance
Write a 750 word essay describing how you have impacted the life of a
senior citizen or how a senior citizen has impacted yours yourself and your
future goals.
Deadline: Application and essay must be submitted by April 9th at 2:05pm to the
Guidance Office
F. National Honors Society Scholarship
Award: One $500 Scholarship
Eligibility: The award is given to a Robbinsville High School senior who has
tragically lost a parent or guardian within the last 5 years. The student must be
enrolled in a 2 or 4 year college or university or attending a secondary or
vocational trade school immediately after graduation.
Method of Application:
Complete the common application to be returned to guidance.
Write a 500-650 word essay reflecting on the following:
a. “Please explain how your responsibilities changed after the loss of
your parent or guardian. Also, discuss any advice you would give
another student who is experiencing a similar tragedy.”
Deadline: Application and essay must be submitted by April 9th at 2:05pm to the
Guidance Office
The Scholarships ranging from letters G. - U. will mailed out to the
organizations. All documents must be postmarked by April 5th
.
G. Robbinsville Irish Heritage Association
Award: $500 scholarship.
Eligibility: The award is given to a Robbinsville High School senior with
acceptance to an accredited 2 or 4 year institution of higher education.
Community service of no less than 40 hours
GPA of 3.0 or higher

Listing of community service time
If Irish, a letter explaining what your Irish Heritage means to you. If you
are not of Irish descent, your thoughts/opinions on Irish Heritage and
culture. In addition, please add your short and long term goals and how
this scholarship will help you attain them.
Two letters of recommendation as to why you deserve this scholarship.

H. Craig R. Robinson Memorial Scholarship
Background: This scholarship is being established in memory of Craig R.
Robinson who was born and raised in Robbinsville Township. He attended
Sharon School. His love for flying led him to the Robbinsville Airport. He
obtained FAA ratings, including certified flight instructor, instrument instructor,
and multi-engine instructor. He then joined the Washington Twp. Police
Department where he pursued his career as a Communications Officer and Police
Officer.
Award: $500.00 scholarship
Eligibility: RHS Senior of high moral character and academic standing who plans
to attend a four year college or university.

Write a 500 word essay describing yourself and your future goals.

I. Christian Regulski Memorial Scholarship
Award: Two $500.00 Scholarships for a Male or Female student.
Eligibility: RHS Senior who has, in the determination of the Regulski Family
and the Board of Directors of the Robbinsville Lacrosse Association, portrayed:
i. Positive sportsmanship in the lacrosse community
ii. Has given back to the lacrosse community
Has been committed to the RLA and RHS Lacrosse program (does not need
4 years of service)
Please use the following topic to complete an essay: “What have I learned from
being a part of the lacrosse team? How has that influenced the person I have/hope
to become?” Be creative and unique

Award: $300.00 scholarship
Eligibility:
Female graduating senior pursuing higher education
Resides in Robbinsville Twp, (Mercer County)

life, and why”.
All essays must be typed and fit on ONE page.

Award:
Three $500 Scholarships
Eligibility:
For students who meet the following criteria:
Minimum GPA 2.0/ C Average at RHS
Student or immediate family member has remained a member of the PTSA
in good standing during the student time at RHS
Enrolled in postsecondary education program
Essay by student OR interview if preferred by student
Actively involved in the community beyond community service required by RHS
to fulfill graduation requirement

Evaluation:
Applications will be reviewed by judges not familiar with the Robbinsville
community, who will also select the winners.
Evaluation Criteria:

Can demonstrate taking initiative in a community related event
Can provide specific example/s of good citizenship/responsibility in the
community

Q. Friends of Mary Lou Elgrim Memorial Award
Award: Up to two $250.00 scholarships
Eligibility: The award is granted to a graduating senior of Robbinsville high
school who attended Pond Road Middle School for a minimum of two years.
This student should show the values that Mary Lou Elgrim treasured and
portrayed over her years of teaching: Honesty, Humility, Diligences, Compassion,
Perseverance and Love.
Method of Application:

Complete the Friends of Mary Lou Elgrim Award Application.
Provide teacher with Teacher Recommendation Form as well as an
addressed and stamped envelope to the address below. Teachers must
complete the Friends of Mary Lou Elgrim recommendation form and
student must place their scholarship number on the form.

R. Qasim Mohammed Ali Muzaffar Scholarship
Award: $1000 scholarship.
Eligibility: RHS senior who participated in Robbinsville High School
interscholastic athletics throughout their high school career. Student must have
maintained a minimum of a B average. Student should be pursuing college studies
physical therapy, sports medicine, and athletic training or sports related medical
fields.

U. Ability Tree NJ Sibling Scholarship
Background: A key component of Ability Tree’s mission is to come alongside
families impacted by disability through recreation, education, support, and
training (R.E.S.T.). Disability affects not only the individual, but the whole
family as well. Oftentimes, financial resources are allocated towards the medical,
dietary, and other special needs of the individual with disabilities, leaving siblings
and other family members in financial need.
Award: Scholarship(s) will vary in monetary value ($250-$1000)
Eligibility: RHS Senior with a sibling with moderate to severe disabilities. The
applicant must plan to attend a college or university.
Method of Application:
i. Complete the common application to be returned to guidance.
ii. Because we know that people have different talents and abilities,
please answer the following question in a format that you prefer
(e.g., essay- 500 word maximum; video; poem; visual art; etc.):
How has having a sibling with a disability shaped who you are as a person? How
does this impact your view of the world and how you act in it?
Be sure to include your ID number with your submission but try to keep your
name and other identifying information separate.

V. Robbinsville/Hamilton Sunrise Rotary Foundation Award
Award: Scholarship will vary in monetary value ($250-$1000)
Eligibility: Senior who is continuing their education by pursuing a two or four
year college, vocational or technical school and resides in Hamilton or
Robbinsville. Information on the scholarship can be found on the Rotary website.
At the end of the first year of school recipient may be requested to present a short
talk to the Rotary Club of Robbinsville Hamilton Sunrise on his/her first year
experience in their new school
Please ensure that the essay is on a separate piece of paper with no personally
identifiable information.

W. James A. Debold “Service Above Self” Award
Award: $1000.00 scholarship
Eligibility: Senior who is continuing his or her education in Communications or
Journalism, including Advertising, Multimedia, Public Relations, Publishing and
Radio/TV residing in Hamilton or Robbinsville. Information on the scholarship
can be found on the Rotary website.
At the end of the first year of school recipient may be requested to present a short
talk to the Rotary Club of Robbinsville Hamilton Sunrise on his/her first year
experience in their new school

Friends of the Raven Players Senior Theatre Arts Scholarship
2018 Application
The Friends of the Raven Players (FORP) Theatre Arts Scholarship was established to honor those seniors who actively support and participate in the Robbinsville High School theatre arts program. The selection is based on documented results of the applicant’s scholastic performance and theatre arts activities. This document defines the process for selecting the students who will be awarded scholarships. DEADLINE: Scholarship applications must be delivered to the RHS Guidance Office by 2:05 p.m. on Friday, April 13, 2018. This application is six pages long. AWARD VALUE / NUMBER OF AWARDS: Up to 8, $500 scholarships APPLICANTS MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:
● Be an RHS senior planning to enroll in a postsecondary education program
● Cumulative GPA of a 2.0/C average
● Turn in their application with all supporting information by Friday, April 13, 2018.
● Must be a current member of FORP by December 31, 2017
No late or incomplete applications will be accepted
SELECTION CRITERIA: The selection criteria consists of a point system composed of the following:
● Current grade point average (GPA) as recorded by RHS, multiplied by 3. (12 points
maximum)
● Number of theatre arts performances (cast and/or crew) and activities participated in at
Robbinsville High School. (55 points maximum)
● Fall Drama / Spring Musical: 5 points for full participation in the production (cast or
crew) per show, per year
● Other theatre related activities at RHS: For example, Young Americans, NJ
Thespian Festival, Senior One Acts, Shakesperience, Drama Club member, Improv
Club member, Film Club member, etc. : 2 points per activity, per year
● Awards, honors and leadership roles related to theatre arts performances and activities: 1
point per award, honor or leadership role. (9 points maximum)
● Current family membership in Friends of the Raven Players. MUST be a paid member of
FORP by December 31, 2017. No exceptions. (No point value is assigned for FORP
membership.)
● Essay by the student. Each committee member will read all the applicant’s essays and then
assign a relative value between 0 and 24 points. The points assigned by all the committee
members will be averaged and this number will be used for the total point calculation.
(24 points maximum)
SELECTION METHOD:
1. Each applicant must have a minimum point value of 70 points to be considered and then
the scholarships will be awarded to the top 8 applicants with the most points. The awards will
be $500 each. Student packets will be scored and recipients will be determined by the RHS
Guidance Department selected Awards Committee. FORP Board and Theatre Arts teachers
will not have influence on decisions.
2. The scholarship committee shall keep recipient’s names confidential until Senior Awards Night.
