Baptisms: Celebrated on the first Sunday of the month at 12:30 or 3:00pm. Parents should call the rectory at least four weeks in advance, and must attend instructions, which are held on the third Thursday of the month. Church Law requires that only Catholics in good standing are eligible to be Godparents. No Baptisms will be scheduled during Lent. Anointing of the Sick: We offer this sacrament to those who are seriously ill, at home or in the hospital. We urge you to contact the office before someone goes to the hospital for an operation. (A priest may not be available later) Ministry of the Sick: Holy Communion will be brought to the sick, upon request. The bedridden or chronically ill can be placed on the “Eucharistic Ministers” visitation schedule. Wedding: Engaged couples must make arrangements in person, at the office at least six months in advance. Parish Membership: We welcome all new members to our parish. Please register at the office, by phone or in person. Registration forms are available at the entrances to the Churches. Also, please notify the office if your address has changed or if you would like to be added to the weekly envelope system.

Saint Christopher and Saint Patrick Collections Regular Collection $5,192.000 Update on Handicap Entrance, Rectory & Office Renovation Project: Our construction is complete for the office space and handicap entrance. We collected funding of 66%. We still need another $25,000 to reach our goal for the second phase of our renovation which includes the living quarters. Your tax deductible donation is welcomed & appreciated & needed to make Father George’s goal a reality for the merging of St. Christopher & St. Patrick Church. If you have any questions, please call Bob Hemsing 914-552-7188 or Luis Pasato 914-844-7727.

Events this Week: Sunday Second Collection: Support the Church in Central and Eastern Europe Wednesday Thrift shop open from 9:30am-12:30pm Saturday Thrift shop open from 9:30am-12:30pm Sunday Second Collection: Maintenance & Repairs

PARISH COUNCIL CORNER: A simple tour of our church buildings shows that we have spent many hundreds of thousands of dollars on improvements in our church. Yet, we never spend your regular weekly donations on improvements; we use regular weekly donations to run the church. Instead, all capital improvements are funded project-by-project, sometimes through particular fundraising campaigns and, more recently, through a very generous bequest under the Will of one of our parishioners.

BAPTISM - The Christian Community of Saint Christopher and Saint Patrick Church would like to welcome with great joy those reborn by water and the Holy Spirit. Reed Thomas, Mia Grace Damiano, Samantha Skelly, Kaitlyn Bleakley and Wilson Tacuri. May God always bless you and your families. Fourth Sunday of Easter

First Reading: Acts 2:14a, 36-41 With great authority, Peter proclaims to the people that the Christ who was crucified is indeed the Messiah. Urging them to reform and be baptized in the name of Christ, three thousand responded to his words and were baptized. Second Reading: 1 Peter 2:20b-25 This is a strong exhortation from Peter to the people to endure suffering for Christ as he did for them. Healed by his wounds, they have “returned to the shepherd.” Gospel: John 10:1-10 Christ uses the beautiful image of the shepherd to describe his care for his sheep. He also says he is the sheepgate and promises that “Whoever enters through me will be safe.”
