About the seminar
This seminar aims at providing the insight of the budgetary changes in Direct and Indirect Taxes. In addition to the budget changes, some important issues and procedural aspects would also be covered with practical approach with special emphasis on Pharma, Construction and other industries. New Voluntary Compliance Encouragement Scheme, 2013 would also be discussed in depth. This Seminar would be of immense value to Business owners, Chief Executive Officer, Heads of Finance and Accounts & Internal Audit, Heads of Taxation, All Finance Executives working in Manufacturing and Service Sectors, Practicing professionals like CA, CS and CWA, Tax Consultants, Students and others.

CA. MADHUKAR N. HIREGANGE has an experience of over three decades into the exclusive practice of Indirect Taxes; he is the founder Partner of M/s. Hiregange & Associates, Fellow, a regular contributor of articles to various professional and trade journals including the CA Journal, ELT & STR. He has jointly authored books on MODVAT, Central Excise Law and Procedures, Central Excise made Simple for Chartered Accountants, Excise & Service Tax Audit manual, Service tax made Simple, K.VAT law and Procedure and Guide to K-Vat Audit. He is past Chairman of IDTC of ICAI, New Delhi and also Past President of Rotary Club of Jayanagar, Bangalore.
K.S. NAVEEN KUMAR, ADVOCATE, B.Com., ML is a lawyer specializing in Central Excise, Customs and Service Tax mattersPractising since the year 2001 and is a junior of an eminent lawyer Shri. K. S. Ravi Shankar, Bangalore. He Specializes in central indirect taxes litigation and has appeared before various Tribunals, Courts and legal forums. Associated with the Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI) since 2007 and is currently the Vice Chairman-Indirect Taxes of their Central Taxes and Banking Committee Visiting faculty of BharatiyaVidyaBhavan, ICAI and NLS. His other areas of interest are vedas, bhajans, reading, music, philosophy, environment and spirituality
CA. ASHOK BATRA is a Law Graduate and renowned Chartered Accountant. In addition, he holds the privilege of completing his Graduation from prestigious & most sought after institution of Delhi University –“Shri Ram College of Commerce”. He has been functioning as a practicing Chartered Accountant ever since 1982 in less travelled region of Indirect Taxation (particularly Service Tax & VAT).He has brilliantly & skilfully written following extraordinary books of Indirect Taxation:- Delhi Value Added Tax (in two volumes), DVAT Ready Reckoner, Service Tax Law & Procedure (in two volumes) , Service Tax Ready Reckoner, A to Z of Refund under Service Tax.
CA JAYANT GOKHALE (B.Com, FCA, LLB) is Serving fourth term in the Central Council of the ICAI representing WIRC. He is currently chairman of Expert Advisory Committee of ICAI. He was the Past Chairman of WIRC. He is a frequent speaker at various conferences and seminars
