Adaptive ReleaseInstructors can create a set of rules to control how content is released to students in their courses. The rules may be related to availability, date and time, individual usernames, membership in course groups, review status of another item in the course, and Grade Center items such as scores, attempts, and calculated columns.

For below example: student can open the folder/file after they got less than or equal to 10 score in the quiz.

AchievementsYou can use Blackboard achievements to create opportunities for students to earn reco gnition for their work. You designate criteria for issuing achievements to students in the form of both badges and certificates. Students can see which badges and certificates they have earned and what is required to receive additional recognition. They can gain insight into learning progression toward defined competencies.

E

Click User Progress on folder/item menu to doublecheck who can see thefolder/item.

Discussion BoardAllows participants to carry on discussions online, at any time of the day or night. Some ways that discus-sion boards are used include: Instructors post questions on a course discussion board, which students respond to before a class session; Instructors have students post their work to a discussion board so other students can see it; students post reading responses to a discussion board.

GroupCourse groups are students own areas to collaborate on coursework. These spaces are equipped with tools to assist in the collaborative process. Your course groups may only meet in their group areas to discuss course content or trade files. But, you might also create assignments that you want students to collaborate on. Students can access all their group assignments on their group homepages.

AnnouncementAnnouncements are an ideal way to post time-sensitive information critical to course success. Add announcements for these types of course activities: Due dates for assignments and projects; Changes to your syllabus; Corrections/clarifications of materials; Exam schedules. You can add, edit, and delete announcements from the Announcements page. When you add an announcement, you can also send it as an email to students in your course. Students will receive the announcement even if they don't log into your course.

Send EmailE-mail is quite possibly the quickest methodof contacting students, TAs, staff, co-in-structors, or groups of students. Recognizethat you have the option to selectivelychoose those students to whom you wish tosend a message.
