PAINTINGS ON BOARD AND CANVAS
2010-2014
In 2010 i made a painting for a couple (mr. and mrs. Galema) in Groningen and after that one
i also made two paintings for a couple in Wolvega. And in 2011 i made two paintings for Nico
and Margriet, after they had bought two landscapes who were too big for there l ivingroom. . In
2010 i also did a paintng for a luxury appartmentbuilding in Leeuwarden.
In 2010 i made a couple of paintings on the beach of Terschell ing for a website called ‘Wad-
denlife’ . And at a fair in Leek i did a series of landscapes based on the ones i made in 2006,
but these were made in oi l . They are not really form a place but rather images that remain in
your head after you been somewhere.
In the fol lowing periode i made several smaller paintings, abstract and very bright of color.
From 2012 to 2013 i did not make a lot of new paintings due to the fact that i had an off ice in
Leeuwarden for my other ‘ job’ , graphic design. But in november 2013 i returned ful ly to my own
workspace and created several abstract paintings. Not big, but l ike 40 x 40 cm and 30 x 30 cm.
These paintings are colorful and bright, l ike the ones in 2011, which i think are very good. Also
the second selfportrait is almost f inished. It had been standing on the easel for a long t ime,
not knowing how to f inish it . In 2013 and 2014 i did several series of abstract paintings as well
as drawings.
