Θεραπευτικές ενδείξεις Δυνητικώς δρων ως βοηθητική θεραπεία στην αντιμετώπιση των επιπλοκών της χρόνιας φλεβικής ανεπάρκειας των κάτω άκρων. 4.2. Δοσολογία και τρόπος χορήγησης Η συνήθης δόση είναι 2-3 καψάκια την ημέρα. Τα καψάκια πρέπει να λαμβάνονται με ένα ποτήρι νερό. 4.3. Αντενδείξεις Υπερευαισθησία στη δραστική ουσία ή σε κάποιο από τα έκδοχα. 4.4. Ειδικές προειδοποιήσεις και προφυλάξεις κατά τη χρήση Προειδοποιήσεις: Αν εμφανισθεί διάρροια, διακόψτε την αγωγή. Προφυλάξεις: Σε περίπτωση εμφάνισης ναυτίας ή γαστρικού πόνου, συνιστάται να λαμβάνεται το προϊόν στην αρχή του γεύματος. Εξαιτίας της ύπαρξης του ασκορβικού οξέος, να αποφεύγεται η λήψη του προϊόντος μετά τις 4 μ.μ. 4.5. Αλληλεπίδραση με άλλα φαρμακευτικά προϊόντα και άλλες μορφές αλληλεπίδρασης Δεν έχει αναφερθεί καμία αλληλεπίδραση. 4.6. Kύηση και γαλουχία Πειράματα σε ζώα δεν έδειξαν αποτελέσματα τερατογένεσης. Στον άνθρωπο δε διαθέτουμε ακριβή επιδημιολογικά στοιχεία. Παρόλα αυτά, μέχρι σήμερα δεν έχει αναφερθεί κανένα περιστατικό πλημμελούς διάπλασης. 4.7. Επιδράσεις στην ικανότητα οδήγησης και χειρισμού μηχανών Δεν εφαρμόζεται. 4.8. Ανεπιθύμητες ενέργειες Διαταραχές του πεπτικού συστήματος: διάρροια μερικές φορές σοβαρή (συσχετιζόμενη

με κίνδυνο απώλειας βάρους και υγρών/ηλεκτρολυτικές διαταραχές), γρήγορα αναστρέψιμη με τη διακοπή της θεραπείας, ναυτία, γαστραλγία. 4.9. Focus on active learning!Dear colleagues,Dear friends,

It is our great pleasure to welcome you this year in Athens, Greece for LIVE 2014-Leading Innovative Vascular Education, the annual international meeting of the Institute of Vascular Diseases held every year in Greece. LIVE 2014 is organized in collaboration with the Hellenic Society of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery (HSVS) and the Stony Brook University, Medical Center New York, USA.

Committed to its main aim, LIVE 2014 symposium is formed to be attractive and towards the needs of young researchers-trainees, appropriate to share knowledge and experience on current evidence. It will give participants the opportunity to learn and keep updated from world renowned experts, to contribute to an open dialogue about all up to date technology advances regarding diagnosis and management of vascular pathologies. The successful format for communication and discussion included in all sessions will help to disseminate knowledge from experienced and introduce the newcomers.

The European Society for Vascular Surgery (ESVS) embraces LIVE 2014 programme with two pre-symposiums courses (course I is formed by two workshops). The programme also incorporates oral, & e-poster presentations sessions, multiple scientifi c sessions, 8 lectures by experts, lunch sessions (with diffi cult case scenarios), debates with voting by the audience and two special sessions for vascular nursing and vascular anaesthesia.

We cannot be but grateful to ESVS administration for their support, to all those who worked for the organization and realization of LIVE 2014, to all invited faculty, Greek and foreign.

Certifi cate of Attendance

All registered participants are entitled to receive a Certifi cate of Attendance. The Certifi cate will be issued only upon return of the name badge and the Evaluation Form (completed) at the Secretariat desk onsite by the end of the Symposium.

Participants, who will register for and participate in the Pre-Symposium Courses or/and the Vascular Nursing Session will also be entitled to receive the Relative Certifi cates (after completion).

Note: Accredited Certifi cates with CME Credits will be mailed after the symposium.

Evaluation Form (mandatory)

All participants by the end of the Symposium will be requested to complete and deliver to the Secretariat a relative Evaluation Form (anonymous) as feedback of their experience during the symposium. Offi cial Feedback Report (based on participants’ opinion) is required by the EACCME (European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education-UEMS) in the frame-work of the symposium’s accreditation (with CME Credits).

Receipts and Invoices

Receipts and Invoices for Registration, Accommodation & other expenses paid to Conferre Ltd for individual services will be provided to participants during the Symposium by the Secretariat, upon request.

Invoices to companies will be issued and sent after the sym-posium.

The EACCME is an institution of the Euro-pean Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS), www.uems.net.

The LIVE 2014 - Leading Innovative Vascular Education is designated for a maximum of (or for up to)16 hours of European external CME credits.

Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

AMA recognized credits

Through an agreement between the European Union of Medi-cal Specialists and the American Medical Association, physi-cians may convert EACCME credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. It is very important to respect the fl ow of the session and the exact time available for each presentation and therefore you are requested to be consistent with the time slots. It is advis-able to rehearse your presentation prior to the meeting to as-certain that the time is not exceeded.

*To the attention of Mac users:Please make sure to come with the suitable adapter and to also have a backup PPT for PC.You are kindly requested to meet with the technical support personnel at least two (2) hours before the beginning of the session, in order to assure compatibility (or backup solu-tions).

B. Time Slots (applies to Chairmen/Moderators)

The profi le of LIVE 2014 is mainly educational, focusing on providing high quality continuing education by the presenta-tion of the latest signifi cant advances in the area of vascular diseases and encouraging the interaction and open discus-sion between speakers and participants.

As a chairman or Moderator, you should ensure the smooth progress of the session, time management as well as encour-age discussion and interaction between presenters and the audience by allowing suffi cient time for questions from the audience.

In order to be helped, a timer will be running on the screen along with the presentation. After a warning (before the last minute of the presentation) the projection will be stopped and you will have to ask from the presenter to conclude. By the end of each session you will call all presenters to the panel in order to start the discussion.

Please note that all submitted abstracts were reviewed by an independent abstract Review Committee that was blinded in regard of authors’ names and affi liations. The review, evalua-tion and fi nal acceptance was based on the best scoring as far as work’s scientifi c/clinical importance, results/conclusions & originality is concerned.

For the Presentation

All presenters are kindly requested to provide their presenta-tions (PowerPoint format in a USB-fl ash/disk/CD-ROM) to the technical support personnel at least one (1) hour before the beginning of the Session (in order to ensure on time their presentations run smoothly and to be able of making any pos-sible changes).

Duration

Oral Presentations (12 min in total)Each oral presentation should not exceed 8 minutes. It will be followed by 4 minutes discussion.

E-Poster Presentations (5 min in total)Each e-poster presentation should not exceed 3 minutes. It will be followed by 2 minutes discussion.

Presenters need to be strictly consisted with the time slots and to respect the fl ow of the scientifi c programme.

E-Poster Presentations (ppt format), after completion of the e-Poster Session and for the whole duration of the scientifi c pro-gramme of LIVE 2014, will be also displayed on two Screens available at the exhibition area (according to the order pre-sented).

Awards

During the Opening Ceremony, the best Oral & the best E-Poster Presentations will be AWARDED by an independent scientifi c Award Committee (on the basis of scientifi c merit of authors’ works and presentations).Presenters should bear in mind that their presence during the Opening Ceremony is required for the award nomination proce-dure.
