The wicked borroweth, any payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth. For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off. Assurance Tried and True

It is March 3rd and I am watching through my window the snow gently fall.

“They” say it could be the last snowfall of the season. I like snow days

home from work, so I hope “they” are wrong.

Three days ago I was unexpectedly given a new assignment at work. (If

nothing else, I’m flexible.) I have gone from kindergarten to pre-school. The

first days in the new room have gone well. They, as you can guess, are a

lively group. The first day we spent a considerable amount of time on the

school’s lower field. It is not a secret that I really do not care for the out of

doors. (I’ve had many conversations with the Lord, that I truly do appreciate

His creation, but I prefer to appreciate it from the comforts my window.)

While on the field, my arthritic knees began to scream! My broken finger

intermittently throbbed. Yet, to my own surprise, I didn’t whine or

complain...to myself, the other staff or even to the Lord. At one point my

knees, finger, and I even kicked a soccer ball with a quiet little boy who

often plays alone.

On our way back up the hill, as I ushered a little straggler, my eyes glanced

over and down in the grass. Staring back up at me was a twenty dollar bill!

I saw this (right or wrong) as a sign of reassurance that things were going

to be better. It was a sign for me to fix my eyes toward the unexpected;

willingly toward where the Lord is leading - at work and everywhere else.

With all that is unsure regarding my life right now, I have the tried and true

assurance that my steps are being ordered by One Who is so much

smarter and wiser (and all those other good things that He is) than anyone

I know (and everyone I don’t know). I know He loves me and

has His best in store for me...as long as I, without complaining,

trust Him and His guidance. I pray you are trusting in Him,

also...with or without a $20.00 reminder!

In total praise...I am

T he Lord knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever. They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied. But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the Lord shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away. The wicked borroweth, any payeth not again: but the r ighteous sheweth mercy, and giveth. For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off. The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way. Thought he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand.

All New Members are requested to attend The New Members’ Class which will be held on Saturday, March 19th from 9:30—noon.

It is always a good thing to not only know what we believe, but also why we believe. You can find out about opportunities to serve; ask questions about your new church home, etc.

This is also an opportunity for seasoned members to catch up on any changes that have occurred at Galilee, and to re-fresh what and why we believe.

Any questions or concerns regarding the class should be directed to either Minister Susan Lewis or Minister Brenda Smith.

There are three (3) nomination categories: Service within, Galilee, our church home

Service to our youth

Service to the community

Many of us know of individuals who do incredible things that glorify our Lord. Many times they do their good works without fanfare or the slightest of recognition. According to the Word of God, our ministry efforts are to be done without calling attention to self.

This is our chance to show appreciation to those wonderful men and women who minister, encourage, and uplift.

Please submit written names and areas of service (with a brief description of their service) for the award to either: Rev. Dale Bradshaw, Rev. Kim Fortune, Rev. Sarah Morris or Min. Dory Martin.
